Nice setup!
Been considering the BDS 6-inch coilover system as well since they still don't offer the 4-inch coilover system for the +2020 Ram 1500/Rebels. But not sure I can fit into my garage with only 83 inches of clearance; can you measure to the top of your shark fin? Also, which Nitto...
Yankee Boy Basin
Posted this in the General Discussion thread so apologize for the repeat here if already viewed.
Anyway, took the Rebel off-roading up to Yankee Boy Basin at the base of Mount Sneffels (Elevation 14,150 ft.), Colorado for the day after going up to Silver Jack Reservoir the...
Thank you! I try to take some photos wherever I go, but have surely missed even better opportunities for some great shots when the trails are just too gnarly to get out and/or I am blocking the Jeeps behind me...lol.
Your timing should be perfect! The Aspen colors were just starting to change now. We usually catch them each fall but went a little earlier this year. Should be beautiful by time you get there!
Yeah, I built my rig so that I can do more back country exploration in the mountains and deserts...
Went through the exact same thing about a month ago. Posted a thread on this too. Left me stranded in a mountain town in Colorado right before I took off for my off-road trip over Engineer Pass. No issues or indications the night before, but the following morning the battery was totally dead...
Well, so far I have found out what is not causing the issue:
1. Speed limit warnings from the Navigation; I get no indicators on the unit when the bells ring.
2. Phone plugged in or Bluetooth; I don't keep the phone plugged in and I get the sound when the phone is off.
3. XM music and following...
Well, it goes off when I am driving with no one or no objects around so don't think that is it, but I need to find a video of that to see if the sound is the same! Thanks!
That's interesting (and disturbing) suggestion; not sure what to look for on that.
lol...yeah, found some evidence of road kill so hope it wasn't that!
Yeah, definitely from the front speakers as I originally thought the sounds were coming from behind the dash. Also, the noise is a distinct bell sound vs. feedback noise from the speakers. Weird.
I do, but doesn't seem to matter what speed (over/under) that I am at. I do not keep my phone plugged in although I do have a dash cam using one of the USB slots but don't think that would cause anything. Thanks for the response!
Interesting, I will have to check that out. Thanks!
Maybe but...
I searched the forums and Internet but could not find anything on this.
I have developed a weird issue in that my truck has been making an intermittent "bell" like sound that occurs with a short series of (3) bell-like warning pings that repeats itself (so 2 times) and then stops. Sometimes it...
Exactly! I could not get my hand up under there at all after removing the lower panel. I could touch the button with a finger but couldn't get my hand far enough to get to all the tabs...lol.
But I did appreciate your video as it convinced me it was the thing to do!
Yeah, it was frustrating at first as Waterfowler41 and others posted that they could simply reach up under the dash and push on the start button tabs; simply wasn't happening for me! I guess my hands are just big enough to not be able to do that, but quite honestly it really is pretty easy to...
Thanks. The story continues in my build thread as it leads up to some of the limitations I found about my current suspension system. So it's the Neverending Story...lol.
I actually used the same chain from my previous wood cutting trip (but only cut about half as much wood) and was getting...
Actually installed the TRX red push start button a couple of weeks ago but forgot to add to my build thread (posted in General Discussion).
I had watched @Waterfowler41 video a couple of times and read some of the threads, but for the life of me I could not get my hands up into the dash and...
Suspension decision.
I couldn't do it; I finally decided the BDS 6-inch Fox 2.5 coilover lift is just too high for towing, high speed highway driving, and off-canter four wheeling while the Fox Elite Performance 2.5 coilover system was going to be just too low (lowers my current ride by an inch...
I previously posted in the general discussion thread but thought I would share it here as this brief adventure really reinforced why I am looking to go "Round-3" on dialing in a suspension system that will meet my needs.
I usually go up to the mountains not far from my home to cut dead wood...
Thanks...I really like showing you can some fun even in a full-sized rig. But it surely made me wish I had stayed the course when I was considering some sliders and underbody armor...lol.
