I'm running a front fender mount from theantennafarm.com. They sell a no holes drilled antenna mount that uses a factory mount bolt for the antenna.

It probably should be, but I can easily see the dealer saying something chemical landed on it causing it. Don't have a way to prove otherwise.

I would also agree that the decision you made as well as DTS828 is the better one. I am running a Putco and wired directly into the brake light instead of the tow hitch, and have no delay at all. Mine is always synchronized. It would have been delayed to the tow hitch plug, but the delay disappeared when I went to brake lights.
