You asked about Prescott. My wife and I left Komiefornia for South East Arizona November of 2019 when I retired. Arizona, in my opinion is awesome. As any place, it is what you make it to be. We absolutely love Arizona and the area that we chose.
When I was looking, my main criteria was 3.92 gears, non e-torq, and no 12" screen. I found two 2021 trucks that had less than 15,000 miles on them. One did have the 12" and I think it had a 33 gallon fuel tank. The one I chose was dealer owned and only has a 26 gallon tank andthe8.4" screen...
I've been trying to not pay attention to these posts about his parking. I would not be able to walk away if my tires were touching either line, even though I park out away from everything.
I've been thinking about moving back up to a 2500 or 3500. My wife and I really like the flat floor and even though we don't ride in the back seat, it's very comfortable when we do have extra passengers. I'm kinda in @Gren71's shoes. My truck is set up pretty good for pulling our travel trailer...

I have Air Lift 1000HD's on my 1500 Big Horn and changed to 10ply tires. I know that the sway control on the distribution Hitch helps mine a lot. Last year coming through Texas, we had 45 mile an hour winds and truck and trailer did fine considering. Wouldn't want to do it all of the time.
Since I'm retired and on a fixed income, I don't have the funds to pay cash. At 67, I have to look at how much longer do I want to keep making truck payments. Oh well, my soap box.
I did a stupid thing back in '22. We finally traded our 36' 5th wheel for a 24' travel trailer. I traded a great 2018 3500 CTD for a '22 Gladiator. Common sense doesn't always come with old age, I've learned. I have a '21 Big Horn now with 3.92's, and I'm fighting the urge to trade it for a '22...
