Along the lines of ventilated seats....
Mine had them from the factory. But I've noticed over the last year that sometimes I can feel the air flowing out really well, other times it doesn't even feel like they are on. Sometimes during a drive it'll alternate between blowing hard and feeling...
That's exactly what mine sounded like until I dumped the 0W20 water oil and put a quality 5W30 synthetic in it. Been quiet as a mouse ever since. At 12,000 miles now and zero issues.
HDs are not 5th Gen trucks, so are you suggesting that this early 2023 "build out" is because they are FINALLY after five years going to put 5th Gen cabs and sheetmetal on the HD trucks? That would be huge news if so.
I want them to update the 6.4 Hemi. They need to do a refresh on that...
I have owned four of the Pentastar engines. 2012 Wrangler, 2014 Challenger, 2018 Wrangler, 2020 Gladiator. Everything from 285 to 305 HP trim. Towed at maximum capacity with the Gladiator. Ran the dog **** out of the Challenger. I never once EVER had a single issue out of any of those...
Good point. With Ford, GM, and Toyota sporting established trucks in the midsize segment that are all selling pretty well, it would be almost impossible for Ram to crash the party and survive unless they did a midsize very VERY well. I mean, they'd have to knock it out of the park. And I...
Right, but Stellantis has a portfolio that is sinking their business. Ram was down 18% last year after multiple years of increasing sales. They had even overtaken the Chevrolet brand as the #2 selling fullsize brand in the U.S. for the first time in my life. Now their sales are horrible...
If they did a new Dakota correctly they would sell them like hotcakes. But alas, this new ownership is letting the existing brands die. Brands that were leading sales in all segments 24 months ago are now dying like flowers in a drought and they don't seem to have ANY clue what to do about it...
It would be interesting to hear an unbiased and honest review from somebody who has had the HEMI engine with 3.21 and 3.92 gears both. How do they really feel while towing? The same? One is noticeably better? One sees much better MPG? Or are they really the same?
The mules running around look like the Honda Ridgeline so that's a big NOPE for me. IF I buy another midsize truck it would be the new Colorado Trail Boss or ZR2 or perhaps the new Ranger Raptor. I like that the Trial Boss doesn't lose any towing rating despite it's off-road goodies.
The outlet and inverter was also deleted from my truck. Ticked me off.
So I started looking at adding it. The cost of parts and labor involved to do it correctly is insane.
So what I did is I bought a 1,500 watt inverter with dual outlets from Harbor Freight, mounted it under the rear seat...
1) You listed the H.O. version of the engine. We don't know that Ram 1500 will get that version (likely not).
2) 510 horsepower is useless if the truck is on a rack at the dealership.
The reason these trucks feel so out of sorts is because they use a coil spring rear. So not only is the axle cycling vertically, but it's also cycling horizontally because they have to rely on a track bar to locate the axle. They can feel quite squirrely at times compared to a tried and true...
Apples to oranges. Going from carbs to FI had no drawbacks. Going from port to direct injection does. Adding two expensive turbos to achieve the same power as a N/A V8 does. Adding additional emissions hardware does. Taking away simple things like dipsticks so that owners can't accurately...
Very odd that you can't get the 5'7" box with the Hemi. That's NEVER been the case before that I can remember. Makes me wonder if 2024 may be a mid-cycle update year? Could be some pretty significant changes coming very shortly. I would hold off and NOT order now.
2022 was, unknown to us at...
