I previously had issues with ticking which turned out to be broken bolts and a cracked manifold. I replaced with shorty headers and the problem was gone for a week or two. Now I have two new issues: a very rough idle/stall on cold starts when the temp has been in the 40's overnight, which...
With AFE Shorty headers and a custom tune on top of my Borla Touring, I have to say I'm finally happy with the way my truck sounds. I do wish it wasn't as loud in 7th gear since the truck tends to stay there quite a bit while on the highway, but once it gets in to 8th gear, things quiet down...
Definitely interested in your feedback on this. I've also got a diablo tune and AFE shorty headers. A throttle body is potentially next on my list of upgrades.
Got my Rebel back from the shop after getting the RC 5" lift kit and AFE shorties installed. I haven't had a chance to drive it due to recovery from a ruptured Achilles--unfortunately, I have to wait another week until I can put weight on my left foot. So I don't have anything to report yet on...
The appears of this will really change with a lift kit and some larger, more aggressive off-road tires. I'll make my final decision once I see one in person that's been given a proper stance and shoes.
The new PCM you receive has all the identifying decals removed since Diablo takes a PCM from someone else, does their magic on it, and then ships to a buyer who is doing a swap. So you have a generic PCM that is no longer specific to your truck. But I think the main benefit is if you were to...
I have the Diablo unlocked PCM in my 2019 Rebel. I had the option of keeping my original PCM, but that adds $600 to the price of the tune. I opted to just do the swap where they send me an unlocked PCM and I send them back mine. The tune kit comes with the tuner and the security bypass...
I had this and just had it fixed by the dealer under warranty. It was definitely a cracked manifold AND busted bolts. No more tick. The engine sounds like it did when I first took it home. Interesting, the sound of the MDS kicking in with my Borla exhaust is even less pronounced now...
Did you get your AFE Headers installed yet? Mine are arriving today and going on next week. Curious as to how the headers change the sound/performance.
Got my cracked exhaust manifold cover replaced (under warranty) and did the full 4x4 and brake fluid replacement. Next week it goes in for a 5" RC lift and AFE shorty headers. I'll be selling the manifold cover if anyone on here needs one a (relatively) new one.
You can definitely hear it--a loud ticking on cold start. Mine has it on the passenger side. I took it to the dealer and they confirmed it was cracked. The FCA part is on backorder with no ETA so I've got some AFE shorty headers on order that I'm going to get installed when my RC 5" lift kit...
I've got the RC 5" lift going on next week. Does anyone know the stock length of the air suspension links so that I can give the measurements to the shop doing the work? I don't have my factory links anymore--only my adjustable ones. Going to need to give them the factory lengths so they can...
I'm at 37k and have only have the lift/level for maybe 15k (give or take a few thousand miles). The photos you guys are posting show wear no where close to what I've got. I sent the same pics off to the shop that's going to do my RC lift to get their feedback. I'll be curious as to their...
I just noticed that my driver's side lower control arm had some unusual wear on it. I checked the passenger side and it has similar wear. The knuckle has wear too so it seems that these two are rubbing excessively. Right now, I've only got the 2" leveling spacers (plus links) on top of my air...
I went with the brighter ones for $90. My truck is a ‘19 Rebel. No water leaks. But I’m one that hasn’t had any issues with leaks (yet). Install was as simple as removing the four screws, popping out the old bulbs and then installing the new.
How do you get your cargo lights to come on while...
