Replaced my swaybar bushings today and during the test drive I felt just the slightest clunk. I’m really hoping it was just things sort of reseating, but if the clunk remains I’m going to go with the body mount route.
I did also tighten my A and B pillar mount bolts and found that all four...
Busy-ish day with stuff
- tightened the A and B pillar body mounts to 90ft/lbs. all four had a half to nearly a full turn until torqued 😳
—> i also discovered that despite having a 2023, I still have what are considered the “old” body mount lowers… Makes me wonder if the upper body mounts are...
Installed the core 4x4 rear sway bar end links. They put my sway bar back in the proper alignment, which should help make the hellwig evident again after i added the 5100s. These are for 1in of lift, which i got in the rear after i added the cargomax springs
Its a bit of a COLD day..26 while i...
If they’re mounted like any other running board they shouldn’t be in the way…but i dont have them so I’m not sure where or what they cover when they fold up. I think if nothing else you would just need to locate where the power wire runs and make sure it has enough slack to allow you to lift up...
The fella in the video said they changed them all after 2021 or so. I have a 23 so i assume i already have the current upper mounts 🤷♂️ im not positive My issues is related to the body mounts, but I’m becoming more suspect. My truck was in an accident and while it was being repaired, the frame...

I read elsewhere on this form that the body mounts are 90 ft/lbs if you want to and are able to double check them yourself. My clunk came back today at the magic 30° ambient temperature so I’m going to check mine tomorrow.
I learned years ago to record issues on my phone and have it available for the service center. That way if/when they cant replicate it i have proof. Its saved me twice over the last ten years or so.
When msrp drops, the value of existing vehicles also drops…lowering trade in value. There are plenty of folks who finance close to, if not, full price of their truck…and make the choice to do that for various reasons (regardless of if its a good choice or not). Its like you when there are more...
Funny enough the tread pattern of the Firestones being so similar to the Bridgestone Dueler AT tires that came on my Jeep originally is what drew me to them. Absolutely loved the oem duelers but they never made it past 25k or so miles…so about a year of driving for me.🤦♂️
The tires in your...
