You have to take them back off and reset it. I originally had my 5100s set to stock ride height and then went up to the third clip. It’s really not a difficult Install as long as you don’t over tighten the top of the strut.🤦♂️
I was wanting E rated tires for the truck and ended up pulling the trigger on a good sale from firestone. 15% new tires and the install.
I loved the Bridgestone dueler AT tires I had on my jeep so I went with the new set of those.
Bridgestone Dueler AT Ascent 275/65/18
They are definitely a...
I cant remember what my stock ride height was but the rear sits around 39.5”. It looked silly with a stock front. After raising the front 7/8” with the 5100s it looks far more balanced now. If i remember ill snap a pic tomorrow in the daylight so you can see the stance. I sorta wanted to be let...
The 893HD and XHD springs have both both felt great with daily driving. I also felt the oem springs were a little too soft. The dual rate cargomax springs sured up the ride a LOT. But dont have that HD rattle your teeth feel. I regularly have an open top mug of coffee in the morning and can...
I currently have 351-893XHD springs in and they’re pretty dang nice, though i have another set I may try at some point…im a glutton for trial and error. The rear sat at 39” with the 893HDs. when first hooking up the camper with a WDH the rear was 1 1/4” to 1 1/2” higher than the front(rake)...
My gut says to let them settle.
When i recently used my 5100s to lift the front of the ram i got 1.5” where it was advertised to only give 7/8” . It took probably 2 days for it to settle to the correct height.
I have the 7793 on my big horn.
Cant say I noticed it angles up or down…as far as I remember it sat flat in the box so it shouldn’t matter as far as up or down.
I used the oem brackets on my 7709, but ended up using the supplied brackets to on my 7793 and haven’t had an issue. I did retain and...
Still had a gnarly clunk even after replacing the front driver side, sway bar, and link. So I got underneath and pulled the 1/2 inch rear spacers I had previously installed. 90% of the sound is gone.… It was 100% gone until I went through a car wash to get the undercarriage good and wet…and the...
Installed core 4x4 2in rear sway bar end links.
Also replaced my messed up drivers side from sway bar end link. Ive had the clunk for a while and was trying to ignore it. Didnt last. While i was under there though i did find out the newer end link i got uses a 19mm nut on the bottom instead of...
From what I can gather by flipping through the owners manual, it looks like the truck is having a hard time determining the trailer length so it isn’t going to be able to help you with any “merge assist” which seems to be integrated into your Blindspot monitoring system.
Im planning to get a steel rim or random 18” wheel off ebay or CL and mount a used tires on it. At the end of the day i jisy need the tire to carry the same load as the other 4 and not leave me stranded.
Honestly, I blame being a Jeep Owner. I always feel the need to do something to the vehicles that I own. Thankfully, these springs are relatively cheap in the long run and once I get this dialed in for towing, I’ll go back to working on my beater car.
Like I said..i cant leave well enough alone.
Went out today to mess with the WDH since now the ball is more that 1” over the top of the trailer coupler…and equalizer wants the top of the ball level or up to 1” over the top of the coupler.
It got dark so I had to stop but now that I raised the...
🤷♂️ glad your experience is different. Theres just a glut of threads about them failing..both the older version and newer…where owners are chasing a clunk and it leads them to the sway bar ends. Im also aware the forum doesn’t necessarily represent the totality of ram owners, more just a small...
The 5100s have the ability to be set to anything from stock height up to 2.4in if memory serves. There is a ring system under the bottom plate of the shock that allows you to adjust it. You are also able to take them off and change it, like i recently did, if you want more or less front lift...
