The finish still looks new. I haven’t noticed any fading yet. It’s a very tough cover. Yes matte finish.
I have had it through one winter so far, and I park the truck in my garage overnight. However, it sits outside when I’m at work (60+ hours a week).
Absolutely they do. Only reason I went with undercover is on the rare event I do need to drive with cover folded all the way up. It’s not rubbing against the cab.
Don’t rule out the undercover armorflex. Super tough finish. If you need to fold it up, it gets secured at 90 degrees (not touching cab). Rather than leaning up against the cab like on the bakflips.
I’m reading that this daystar spacer won’t work on air ride trucks. Did u have to do some fabrication to it to make it work? What’s the story? How the hell did u fit 37’s in there???
Can anyone provide a link for the daystar spacers they bought for their air ride orp truck? Maybe a link for the uca’s u picked up as well while we are at it. Thanks!
+1 for the keeper. Got it from Home Depot. I use it to keep my husky bin towards the cab. I keep my recovery supplies in there with my hitch and jumper cables.
Good post OP. To the others that have done “new links” are you making them yourselves through local hardware store or granger.com?
I would like to go this route as well, I want 35’s pretty bad but I don’t want a lift kit. Have you all been able to do daystar level + links and not have any...
I ordered a Carven competitor catback system a while back, it didn’t line up well on the truck. Ben sent me a new system and all is well again. I am very impressed with the customer service at Carven!
If it sounds like it’s near your feet, there is a tsb for it. Something about a body mount. I had the same clunk before winter. Now, for the life of me, I can’t replicate it.
I have an ORG air ride Laramie and got used to the stiff ride. Rented a big horn out of state and was surprised on how good the ride quality was.
I’m ok with it though. I like that I can barrel over pot holes and train tracks without any problems.
