I just changed my oil myself last week. If you could do it yourself, just change the filter and dump all the oil out and put in 7.4 quarts. One positive is on the hurricane, oil change is pretty easy with the filter location being easily accessible. If you don't do it yourself, take it...
My guess would lean more towards faulty reading rather than that the oil was overfilled. I don't understand why they have to try to over complicate everything. Just give us the dipstick back instead of all these complicated systems that are prone to fail at some point. The dipstick was fool...
$51k per truck does seem high, considering you could probably still buy a Laramie for mid $50's with discounts. For a work truck, the truck pictured does look nice.
Not necessarily. In 2019 TruckTrend did a head to head between a Rebel with 3.92's and a Laramie Longhorn with 3.21's. The Longhorn with the 3.21's was quicker 0-60 and in the 1/4 mile. With the 8 speed transmission, there is more than enough gears to put the truck in optimal position to...
The cold start is the one thing I am not impressed with in regards to my truck. When I had my hemi, you got the V8 rumble on start up and it sounded like a truck. With the hurricane motor, it's a not so pleasant sounding high rev with one quick stumble about 20 or 30 seconds in, then continues...
Can you describe what you are referring to? I have complained about the high idle on cold starts. My truck idles around 1700 rpm's on cold starts. Lasts about a minute and then starts to come down. Seems to be the norm on the 2025's. My truck is a Laramie with the hurricane motor.
I got a check engine light on my 2025 Ram recently. I bought the truck in September. The check engine light turned out to be related to something with the evap system. They said there was an update for it and performed the update, took a few minutes, and sent me on my way. I asked about the...
I got the same thing, a pop up screen giving me the option to install the update. I'm not sure what it did, but it did turn my surround sound off, which I had to go back into audio settings and turn it on again. I don't have HUD., so didn't notice anything there.
The smaller little battery has to do with the auto stop start feature on the truck. My understanding is the main battery is used for starting but the smaller one helps maintain consistent voltage to the rest of the truck so that you don't notice a draw on the electrical during the starting...
-As far as MPG, on my 4x4 Laramie with 3.55 rear, I have averaged 20 mpg for a tank full a couple of times. This is mixed driving and hand calculated math.
-As far as noises coming from the car after it is shut down, I too have noticed that at times it seems to be making noises long after shut...
This video fails to mention the button on the left side of the tailgate that you can press to close it. I wish someone would have mentioned the button to me since I didn't realize it was there.
As of now, no. I added 7.4 quarts of oil. I reset the the oil life, but I did not check or reset the oil level. I know it does it on its own eventually, so I am just gonna wait for it to check the level on it's own. I did take it on a few short drives today, but no over fill indicator as of now.
