Got it done today....taking the paint off the studs took the most time! I even went back after everything was done and hit them with a little rustoleum black paint to make sure they don’t rust since I stripped the paint.
Security in Amityville is a big Ram dealer....try them first and don’t leave until you get exactly what you want. Play the game, do not cave, and walk if you come to a stalemate. They need volume.
I’m going to call them tomorrow and see what they say. I had a low-pro previously, loved it, but it leaked quite a bit, more as time went on. I just feel like this fabrication on the Truxport isn’t quite right for our trucks yet.
So, I’ve installed, and reinstalled, and resealed the bulkhead, and reinstalled the Truxport Tonneau.
My opinion is that it’s an inch too short. My other opinion is that no matter what you do, the pre-loaded tension is just too strong. The new design is not adjustable for the tension...
Forgot to mention my deal included three month remaining payoff and disposition fee on a Silverado - about $1,600 included as well. I’ll look for my lease sheet and share.
Any update on these from people who have them? Seems you have to wedge them under the b-pillar as opposed to under the rubber weatherstripping. Anyone have any closeups?
