Yes, we need the part number of the Uconnect module you are using. If you have the VIN of the donor vehicle that is helpful but not needed in most cases with the part number of the module. Its on the sticker of the module. Also go into settings and get the current build number.
Did the vehicle have its radio upgraded? If that happened you would not get Uconnect services like SiriusXM Guardian but the built in navigation should work. If not maybe there is no GPS antenna, bad GPS antenna, or something wrong with the radio module.
Give the vehicle a few sleep cycles. When installing a Uconnect radio upgrade, sometimes audio doesn't work right off the bat. Now if this is your stock system and randomly you have no sound then there is an issue with that unit I'd image. Try doing an canbus reset and let us know the results.
Also sounds like a defective screen. What radio system did you have from factory? DM me your VIN so I can take a look at your factory build. You should have had navigation if you had an UBL. Uconnect 5 UBL module should allow a Uconnect 5 12" screen to work.
If not a screen protector then your screen is delaminating. This is where the digitizer is being released by the liquid crystal under the digitizer from the LCD. You can replace yourself if you have the skills just make sure to use a screen that won't delaminate again. LG made these screens and...
If you got the radio from a friend's truck, use their VIN when calling a dealership to get your radio code for free. They have to give it to you if you own the vehicle so you friend can get the code for you at a dealership or just purchase it online using the radio's Serial code.
We can find the update you are looking for. We just need your VIN if the radio is from factory, if you upgraded your radio then I'd need the part number and application number from the radio.
Check out this post where we give a bit more details about the updating processes for Uconnect3,4,5...
The initial start up will allow the screen to work. After that or a sleep cycle the BCM doesn't know how to turn on the screen any more. You need to make some changes to the BCM's programming to let it know the screen and radio module are separated. This answer is all over the forums of what you...
We haven't starting to sell to HD yet but we do sell for the 1500. You aren't able to get Carplay maps to show up in the digital cluster far as we can tell. You can get the built in navigation from the radio to display in the cluster. You just need programming change to the BCM and to port the...
UAV isn't plug and play like a UAQ would be. You need to make changes to the BCM to enable some sales codes for the UAV to turn on after its initial start up. So yes you will need bypass, yes you need alfaobd to make programming changes, You are correct that you will not gain the features your...
You want the full UAX bezel? The knob itself isn't usually sold solo but you can get a replacement UAX screen/bezel. If you found one from a junk yard that had broken screen you can swap the screen to the bezel that works. Otherwise just buy a replacement UAX bezel/screen.
All 8.4s are on 40.1 just the upgrade needs to match where the vehicle came from and region. As long as the upgrade you found is correct for your unit then it will work.
If you stick to UC4 then yes, you can contact Uconnect Services to have them swap over the service to the "new" radio. You'll have to give them what ever info they need to get it working. But as for UC5, no, those use a separate module for telematics which your vehicle will be missing if you...

Sirius Guardian aren't known for being very helpful. I'm surprised they send you off to the dealership as they did their part, they replaced the radio. I've only heard of a few people going through this process. They only reported it was a pain in the butt. Sorry I don't have more details than...
Fixed. Good eye!

Sirius Guardian is the same thing as Uconnect Services, they rebranded awhile back. You will need to tell Sirius Guardian that the dealership replaced your radio and you no longer get any of your Sirius Guardian services. They will probably want you to go into dealer mode to get some info for...
