It does sound lower than it should be, but you still have a green engine. Mine finally got significantly better around 12, 000 miles. Traffic in Poway can be a mixed bag. My son was stationed in San Diego and I had a good friend live in Poway. Some more details about how your truck is set up...
Digital gauges are like digital anything when it first arrives. It takes some adjustment on the user part. A dial indicator for example. When I see the needle swing that movement gives me more of a reference than some numbers changing in front of my eyes. A digital watch. If i know I have...
I'm perfectly happy with my 3.21 gears . . . . . . . . . cause they are still on the shelf at the factory.
I like my 3.92 gears right where they are, in the rear end of my truck where they belong. I like the way it drives.
Grateful to have a choice in the matter.
Your are one tough customer lol!
Have you tried a razor blade to scape it off? From your video looks as if something is "on" the glass and not pitted into it. Do your finger tips tell you anything about the surface?
I once got an older truck spattered with overspray from staining a deck. I...
Have you tried vinegar and hot water?
Another product that I use is "Invisible Glass" A company by the name of Stoner makes it. I find it in the auto section in Walmart, Target and the like. The stuff flat works .
Before clear coat, we used to use 1/3 vinegar, 1/3 alcohol, and 1/3 hot...
Necessity is the all time Mother of Invention, where is a will there is always a way.
A good friend of mine, who was a Mopar guy from Way back, advised when in doubt just back up until it sounds expensive. . . . . . . . .
YMMV, mine does!
Lots to be said for plain old stress busters. Glad it worked for you.
John Q Public is not getting any more respectful, considerate, or smarter these days.
What's happened to your truck is just plain wrong. Ask around for a good PDR tech in your area, the blemish can be repaired.
I've...
Wether or not you rotate the tires yourself or, have it done at a tire shop. It pays to re-torque them a second time about a 100 miles later with a torque wrench.
Take a look at the Cooper AT3/4S. They are a severe snow rated tire. I put on a set last fall, 275/55R/20, to replace the OEM Duelers. No complaints with the Coper's. I live in the midwest and they have handled everything I've encountered without fail. One thing to consider is the...
I consider operating conditions, mileage and time of year. Is it diety looking on the stick? In your present circumstance I would change the oil before you go assuming you have had this oil thru the winter. It's full of cold starts, condensation, and excess fuel from cold starts/warm ups. All...
I chose the Cooper AT3 4S as well. They are a little lighter in weight than most other AT tires. They ride and handle just fine. You might get a slight increase in gas mileage.
For my money and purposes, they are a great choice for me.
Another source might be the spare tire. It looks OK at first glance. Make sure it is fully inflated and snugged up tight on the cable. One of those things we all ignore until we don't, because we need it, and it's about as flat as the other flat on the truck. Over time they will drop a few...
I had that happen about 3 trucks ago. Bought it new, failed at less than 20,000 miles. Only happened at start up, blue smoke. Turned out to be bad seals on the valve guides. Pulled the heads, changed the seals problem solved.
Do you see any oil in the radiator, or radiator reservoir? That...
I went with Cooper AT3 4s 275/55/ 20 (severe snow rated) when I replaced the OEM Duelers. No regrets or complaints about them. They have handled everything I have encountered with ease. I don't find them any noisier than the Duelers they replaced. The Duelers weighed in at 41 lbs and these...
MDS is the system that shuts down 4 of the 8 cylinders in your engine once you reach cruising speed, if the truck senses all 8 cylinders are not needed to maintain your cruising speed. Lots of debate about the value of the system. Some like it, some do not.
We all bought trucks for whatever reason we wanted to buy them. I wouldn't know how to act without one! Trucks are not famous for getting good gas mileage, even within the truck world. No looking back now. I think they are built as well as can be expected for gas efficiency. At the end of...
Do you wear glasses? Are they polarized? If you sat on the right side and another person was driving the truck (gasp!), do you see the wavy pattern? Just asking some questions to think about.
Are you in a wintry, wet part of the country. In and out of the cab with wet boots/shoes etc.
Decent floor mats in that the carpet does not get wet?
Is the carpet and padding underneath dry?
Have seen post here with wet cabs because of faulty weld seams between the cab side and main body...
