Because the fuel value of the gasoline doesn't change with octane level. So if the engine can achieve it's preferred timing curve without pinging it will burn the all of them the same resulting in the same numbers.
First check to see if you have the all access program. Less expensive programs don't work.
My 19 Laramie has not had the Uconnect renewed and it has all the indicators yours shows except it works on all those channels and Pandora. I don't think Uconnect has any effect.
I do have the Wifi...
Engine Master's on Motortrend just did a study on 87,91,106,116,E-85 fuels on a 10.5 compression hi HP engine and this was exactly their findings. As long as the engine can attain it's optimum timing without pinging, there was no difference in performance.
Engine made 499 torque 540 HP during...
Grab a 15% off coupon from your Ram dealers website and get the OEM plus two screws from them. That's what I did 2 years ago. I won't comment on fit or thickness of the aftermarket, because I have no knowledge of either, but I don't see any comments around here about the OEM ones being an issue...
Some of the confusion can possibly be that the FCA service contracts is a division of FCA just like Chrysler, Ram, Chrysler Capital, etc. It is part of the corporation but a separate entity under the Corporate structure. No different than any other auto corporation but that nuance can certainly...
When I bought my 19 I took the $500 to finance it through Chrysler Capital. When the finance guy said I should take 6 payments to pay it off I said I'll lose most of the $500 in interest because I planned to pay it off in one payment. He said just pay off 90+% on the first payment to lower the...
The damage was pointed out by another driver when I was leaving the parking lot. No evidence of shopping cart near the truck. Talked to my AAA agent and he said the best solution was to submit a claim being sure I told the claims agent I wasn't in the truck when it was hit ( totally true ) and...
The body shop did not, probably because it is not supplied with the OEM flaps. I did use it on the front ones I installed but ran out of film so when the film I ordered shows up in a day or two, I'll remove the rear ones - apply film and foam tape - and reinstall.
Just to complete the circle - I now have the OEM Mopar splash guards on my 19 Laramie.
Why - My Ram lost a battle with a Menards heavy shopping car in 50 mph gusts a couple weeks back. The cart hit dead center between the rear wheel and bumper assembly leaving $1500 in damage. AAA paid for the...
I have had sunroofs on my last 4 vehicles with no issues. If you run a full cap, as I have on my last few trucks, they inhibit the sliding rear window air flow, I'd strongly recommend the sunroof if you have/plan a full height cap. With my bed high tonneau cover I find the sliding rear window...
I thought that too until I have it on my 19 Laramie. That yellow diamond that shows in the mirror is attention getting. It also give sthe trailer length when I have my trailer on and indicates anything back there also. Do I need it - no! but I really appreciate it now that I have it just like...
It shouldn't tip like that. Mine is flat. Loosen the clamps, move the rails to flat and see where the clamps align and then tighten but don't use 100 ft-lbs of torgue. Be sure the back of the clamp is as high as it can go on the truck rail and hold the rail up while tightening. They shouldn't be...
I can't tell you the minimum but you can pay it off with the first payment. Request a total payoff number from CC when you get the first payment notice and write a check. Total charges should be under $100. I missed the total payment method on the first notice and sent a check for the total...
Worked with my Armorflex, which sets low on the bed, but had to mod the unit to clear the clamps that hold the cover. Bought it on Ebay from BAM Mopar. I could have purchased different clamps on the internet but this was quicker.
Just by chance, have you Googled the third party warranty providers claims history? With FCA you'll have more options to settle any issue than just an 800 number.
Thanks, glad someone finally did this. Might be a good idea to do a stand alone post to possibly make searching easier. Thanks again.
OOOPPS!! Just noticed the stand alone post, well done.
Securityguy is correct, my in-service date on the contract is the day I bought my truck from the dealer. Built 2/19 sold 8/19/19. Contract expires 8/19/27 or 125,000 miles, whichever comes first.
There is no question that Ram makes money on this deal as do all companies that provide protection for maintenance, life, vehicle insurance, etc.
That given, it's a choice as to "How lucky do you feel" whether you buy it.
There are benefits to having the service agreement during the 3/36 mile...
