I will say that the Borla exhausts all seem to be loud, but just differentiate in tone. The S type and Atak are equally loud, but the difference is the tone. The S type is very deep and aggressive sounding, but minimal pop and crackle.
The Atak is more aggressive in that it has more of a sport...
I have the S type and I have to say it's not neighbor friendly in the morning lol. Cold starts are especially loud in the mornings.
I park outside my garage, and quickly learned that backing up to my garage door in the evenings meant super loud starts.
I never could find a video that gave a...
Lol, they're pretty close in size.
Do you have a single cab 1500 with an 8' bed? hand crank windows with vinyl seats? 5 inch radio? Surely you wouldn't neuter your 1500 with those things either. All those things add weight that limit payload and towing. No passengers either as that'll limit...
Lol these comments are always funny to me. As if anyone with a 1500 is truly seen as a hardcore truck user. Any 1500 truck is a compromise between truck stuff and daily commuting in comfort. Weekend hobby running is what 1500's are for.
3.92 in 8th is equivalent to a 3.21 in 7th. So a 3.92 at highway speed at 2000rpm would be the same as if you keep your 3.21 in 7th gear.
3.92 advantage comes in 1st gear right, where you have the extra bottom gear to pull easier from a dead stop. Gain an extra overdrive gear with 3.21 but...
I have 3.21 gears and before new/heavier tires I could average 19 on daily commute. Mostly highway varying speeds between 60mph and 75mph. City driving wasn't great even though I do have etorque. It really helps when stopped at a long light or stuck with a train.
Since I've added a level and...
Jan of last year. Sort of around when vehicles were becoming more scarce but overall not too hard to find on the lots. I've actually purchased from Mark Dodge before my Ram. Minimal discount on the truck i wanted to buy, but also low trade in value on the truck I had bought from them just a year...
So I actually live in the area and I don't really understand why Mark Dodge is so popular on here. No issues with them just without going through all 63 pages of this thread I'm trying to understand what the benefit is? At the time of buying my truck I ended up going with someone else for...
Is there a reason why I see everyone talking about Mark Dodge? I live in the area and even I didn't use them. Trying to understand why so many seem to use them..
Yeah I could see that. Though my past experience was with a 2016 silverado and a 20 gladiator. Silverado saw a few mpg increase, and the gladiator maybe a little better. Not sure any design considerations were made for either of those, especially the gladiator.
Yeah that's what I meant. lol. Usually i'll pitch the idea that this new thing will help my mpg or not impact it too much. Then granny drive it for a few weeks to show the results, then it's back wide open and all that was gained was lost. Gone are the days where she believes me during my pitch...
Yeah I went to 295/65r20 on stock night edition 20" wheels with factory +19 offset. 2.5" level to clear the 35" height of the tire, but kept it to under 12" as my stock tires were already about .75" away from touching the upper control arm. I knew angles would change a little as the leveling...
Zero benefit for mpg seems a bit inaccurate. It may be negligible in some cases but a light weight bed cover has given me slight 1 to 2 mpg improvements on past trucks when highway driving. Just as easily could bump the cruise setpoint from 65 to 62 mph and get the same result.
Truck mpg is...
Yeah understood. I figured it may have been more due to weight addition with a rebel and also likely higher payload and towing capacity. With 3.21 gears my towing is 8600lb or so, and my truck is pretty light overall with minimal bells and whistles.
Hm interesting. Normal tires are just passenger tires, LT tires are different though. Mine are LT tires with 80psi max, load range E, but that's intended for true "light trucks" right and to be rated for higher load. I'm not even sure what my door jamb sticker recommends on mine. I originally...
Is there some reason why the Rebel would need higher psi? I don't have a Rebel but just a "lonestar", and after chalk test I meek my tires around 35 to 37psi. I can't imagine driving at 50psi on such a light truck. I have Yokohama Geolandar MT 35's.
