I believe this is a simple software issue rather than a battery issue.
My fail log shows low battery voltage is the reason for the no start. But when I start the truck manually it fires up. To me this tells me the system check for battery voltage is too conservative and needs to be adjusted...
Ya I assume it'll be fixed for as long as the battery stays healthy. Interesting find about the fob proximity, let us know what you find. Its not my issue but it may help others a bunch.
Apparently there is a recall/update for battery draw. They performed it on mine but didn't solve anything. They mentioned if you haven't noticed your radio staying on its likely not applicable to your vehicle.
Best yet...
Truck is back at the dealer for remote start issues when cold. They checked the logs and surprise surprise each fail is because low battery voltage!! BUT when they test the battery it says pass so they told me everything is ok, come get my truck.🤣
They agree it needs a battery and...
Loretto. Truck is at Orangeville Chrysler for remote start issues. The service rep says he'll look into TSBs for the truck but if the vin doesn't require any they can't do them. Fun fun...
Hey guys, update here. Since the module flash I've had no problems, and its been super cold here. -15deg C steady.
But, yesterday the remote start failed again... this time it did 2 honks then fail. This is new for me as previously its always just honked once.
Anyone else having success?
Yeh thats frustrating. I bought my truck from 400 Chrysler and won't go back after horrible service/tech experience.
I went to Orangeville Ram for my no start as its a bit closer to me. They ended up solving my issue once I finally was able to prove to them I had an issue. I'd say try them...
This page made me jealous.
In 2020 I was only able to get the blacked out night edition on a black limited truck. Man does it look sharp with white or blue!
I bought weathertech mud guards. They work great. I recommend them or the husky ones. The OE mopar ones have a pocket in them that seem to hold slush and crud.
