My first new truck was an '88 base model Toyota. Bought it right out of college. That thing was a tank! I drove the wheels off of it. As mentioned, they are a blank canvas for upgrades and mods. I upgraded mine into a really nice truck. It's too bad it rusted into a heap, or I might still have it.
Water drains through it. I too have mine under a tonneau cover, but every time I have hosed mine out, it is dry within a few hours. If I leave it open to dry in the sun, it's no time at all.
Not many in my area yet. My buddy just bought a Big Horn Sport two weeks ago, and there is an older couple I see driving around town in a silver Limited, but that is about it. I see one on the road every once in a while, but not many. I have only seen one other Rebel in the wild either.
So If you do a search on Amazon for the Bedrug Brt19cck and look for the one offered directly from Amazon, it is on sale for $379, with a 10% off coupon until 2pm est. black Friday only. With free shipping, total came to $342. I am also a Prime member, so it will be here Tuesday. Can't beat that...
Nice hybrid @CallMeChris. I have a buddy who has the exact same camper. You are going to love towing it with the new truck. My old truck was a '14, and the difference to the new one is significant.
Thanks man, it was a labor of love. It was my first car, had it since I was 15. Took me 3 1/2 years of nights and weekends to finish. Lots of custom work as nobody makes parts for these. I did all the work but the paint.
Agreed, my '14 rattled like crazy at startup, but would quiet down once oiled up. What you are describing is not normal. Check your oil level, and if good, take it in to the dealer.
@202snowman, I was able to find the Michelin Optimum XL blades at my local Wallmart. They even have listings in the book for the 2019's both sides are 24" I have mine on and can verify they fit.
Glad to hear you made it out OK @Lakewake. Philly airport can be a pain in the **** when these...
So we ended up getting a beat down last night. Got about 6" of snow in the afternoon into evening, then turned to sleet/freezing rain for a few hours, then back to all snow over night. woke up this morning to 13" total. Had a great time playing in it though. The Rebel worked great, not that I...
It's been snowing all afternoon where I am at. They are forecasting 5 to 8 inches of snow in my area. I am like a kid before Christmas vacation. I can't wait to get out of work and go play in the snow with my new truck. This is the first snow with the Rebel, and I fully intend to try it out.
