That is quite an interesting and informative write up. While I knew some of what you wrote, I learned a few new things. May I ask what you do (or what your credentials are) regarding automotive technology? You clearly know much more than the average enthusiast.
So your final takeaways are...
Well said, and makes sense. I've made mine a little harder and thus reduced rolling resistance. I'll continue to watch the tread wear but I doubt 4psi will make much difference. Will see.
Correct. I'm keeping a close eye on treadwear. I don't *think* 4 psi will make a difference, but who knows. Will keep you posted. And good to know about 89. I'll pay the premium for better f.e. and performance, even if it doesn't fully "pay for itself". There's more to fuel than which is...
I know there have been a number of threads about tire pressure. Not trying to start any arguments or open old wounds. Just wanting to share what I did and what I'm seeing as a result.
So the door jam recommended PSI is 36 front and back. I typically run mine over the recommended ratings by a...
I tried that, too. It didn't seem to matter how slowly I was backing up, it would still slam on unexpectedly. Even backing VERY gently over the curb would cause it to lock up. I just couldn't handle it anymore. Maybe some are just more sensitive than others.
I've been using this setup in my last 5 trucks, and it works great for me. (No kids or pets in the vehicle, though.)
Rubbermaid, just hangs off the headrest stems, unsnap to empty it, waterproof, and small enough that it intrudes very little on rear passenger space. No need to take up...
Hmm, I'll have to look again. Mine has the Uconnect 4 (basic one) on the 8.4" screen. I didn't see anything about that but will look again.
I did see the comment about changing the fuse position...may try that too.
But overall, it would be nice if Ram or FCA provided more information/detail...
The manual says that “some” accessories and outlets will continue to supply power after the engine is shut off. Is there a definitive list of what and for how long?
Is there a difference between the USB-A and USB-C amperage? 1 amp, 1.5, 2.1 or 2.3? I typically use a USB-C to Lightning supply...
I *wanted* to like it. I really did. But after three or four times of having it scare the ever-loving shyte out of me just backing over my curb or into my garage, I finally just turned it off. Made it this far without it, figure I’ll take my chances.
Now my wife’s Nissan is much less sensitive...
The Laramie trim supposedly has "Bristol Leather Trim" according to Ram's website right here. I've searched for "Bristol Leather" and see stuff on motorcycle jackets and what not, but I assume that isn't related to what's in our trucks. The window sticker simply says "Leather-Trimmed Bucket...
Glad to hear that. I'm a big guy and have a couple of long drives ahead. Hope my experience is the same. I do know my F150s were VERY comfortable on long drives.
I was also pleasantly surprised with the reclining rear seats...that's a good one. I didn't realize mine even had them until I started playing with them.
The fog light memory is a good one, too. I also noticed (and later read in the manual) that the parking sensor switches (enable/disable) in...
Yeah, that's kind of what I thought. Makes sense, and it seemed to work that way in the F150, as with the GM products it seems. Would be nice to know when it engages, like maybe an indicator light on the dash or something. Regardless, good to hear it works well.
And as with you guys and I'm...
Found this own page 269 of the owner's manual. Doesn't say anything about fully disabling the audio, but hopefully someone else can "chime" in (pun intended) if they know differently.
