POLL: Did you name your truck?

Did you name your truck? If so, what is it? I've never named one of my vehicles but I know a lot of people do.

    Uneven tailgate cables?

So if the cable(s) are not supporting the weight, what is? I assume the tailgate hinges/pivots but also assume that would not be a good thing long term.

    Uneven tailgate cables?

BTW, I love that video in your signature. That guy is a riot - most all his videos are awesome.

    Once&For all - Tonneau - Best 1?

There are countless opinions on what people like the best. You just need to decide what's most important to you, then find one that meets that criteria. Things to consider just off the top of my head: Cost? You can spend $200 to $1500 for off-the-shelf ones, and more for color matched ones...

    Uneven tailgate cables?

Sharing with the group. Took mine in today and they confirmed the issue. Interestingly, they don't have any of the correct cables in stock. They told me each dealership was allocated only one (1) of the new cable part numbers per week. These things are either in short supply (Tier 1 supplier...

Check in if you just don't care about modding anymore

And right after I posted this, I bought a set of WeatherTech front floor mats at my dealer while waiting on the tailgate cable repair/replacement, haha. (Don't laugh, they were about 23% off for me since I just bought a new vehicle there, so only $99, pretty good price I think.) I think I'm...

Check in if you just don't care about modding anymore

Exactly. I tip my hat to those folks who do that stuff (as long as they don't mess up something else in the process). It's very interesting, but I'm just a spectator on most of it now.

Does yours have the rain-sensing wipers? If it does, I've heard that Rain-x can interfere with their performance, but that's anecdotal. Let me know as I'm curious about doing it myself.

Check in if you just don't care about modding anymore

When I was younger, I was a lot more into it. Different wheels, tires, lifts, performance enhancements, CAI's, exhaust, etc. Now that I'm in my mid-50's, I just don't care about it. Not knocking anyone who does...more power to you (pun somewhat intended). :) I just can't crawl around, over...

I really like this Alpine system (from a non-audiophile)

It just sounds good to me. I am an amateur musician (piano) and love many, many types of music. This system sounds as good to my admittedly non-technical ears as any automobile audio system I've personally owned. Today while listening to Classic Rewind on XM, Tom Sawyer (Rush) played. At...

In what month did they first start producing the 5th gens?

Interesting, considering what @RamCares said. Regardless, it still could've been built in Feb and not shipped to the dealer till March.

    Bed Storage Alternatives

It does look good. The only thing I wouldn't like is having to remove all of that if/when I need to haul something larger. But if that's not an issue for you, then good job! :)

In what month did they first start producing the 5th gens?

Well, let's ask @RamCares. Do you guys know when the first publicly available 5th gens rolled off the assembly lines? TIA

Definitely email. I always enjoy tips and tricks on something of interest as long as they're not blowing up my mailbox.

In what month did they first start producing the 5th gens?

Was it January 2018? Mine was built in January 2020 so I guess that's about two full years to get the bugs worked out. Just curious.
