Congrats on the new wheels! C is 2 versions ago now. Uconnect5 is unfortunately full of issues, dealers are pretty much zero help and from reading every single post on here on the subject all say ‘your system is up to date’ no matter what. You will have to wait until you truck decides it’s ready...
I had that message several times a few months ago. Dealer replaced the telegraphics? module. personally I think it was all software related anyway but you know how smart dealer techs are
Mine wasn’t connected to wifi, happened when I arrived at work. All 3 happened away from home, always as soon as I arrive at destination and put it in park.
I could be wrong but doesn’t the dealer/ram have to prove that the breakdown was caused by operating it in an unsafe manner or improper maintenance? If they are telling you its not covered I would get them to inform you in writing exactly why its not covered. Then ask then for the proof that it...
Same here, carplay still disconnects, crashes still happening, heated seats and wheel disappearing, no weather, can’t enable eco coaching, no gas prices, send and go doesn’t work, no coolant temp in offroad pages, same old same old so far
I have the exact same thing, no air suspension. Weird how it seems to move around a bit bit you can feel in in the floor board under your feet. So they are aware of it do they even know the cause of it?
Thats the perfect tome to install. Mine popped up when I put er in park at work so I press update shut it off and went in. Came out for lunch and kts now all updated . Time will tell if its any better but when I clicked on ‘see whats new’ apple carplay improvement was first on the list so heres...
Fingers crossed this update actually helps. I have discovered that wireless Carplay is causing most of my issues. It won’t connect or stay connected consistently and constantly freezes the radio up. If I turn it off my phone will connect with bluetooth no problem and there is rarely any crashes...
I think this is just the way Ram has programmed these transmissions. My 22 non e-torque does it although I wouldn’t describe it to the extreme with tires spinning. My previous 18 4th gen also did it. They just don’t want to drop to 1st until you are at a dead stop. It is pretty annoying for sure.
For me the D update has made things quite a bit worse. Wireless carplay is totally unusable, just keeps disconnecting or not connecting at all. Crashes galore as well. Hopefully Ram gets this figured out before they run out of alphabet!
The #1 city mpg killer is short trips and cold weather. If you live in an area that gets below freezing and make frequent short city trips 8-10miles this kills your mpg. Add in a few minutes of warming up time = easy sub 10mpg.
So now we know where all the chips are going. GW gets 46 screens, massaging seats and who knows what else and Rams lose most of their safety features and can’t even tell you if the tailgate is open or not. 🤣
The Rebel also comes with the worst fuel economy out of the whole non TRX 1500 family of trucks. I don’t think that option is available on the Ltd. 😂
Seriously though go with what suits you best and more likely what you can actually get at this point. I thought about the LTD for a minute but...
Does anyones Eco app work? I mean mine gives each trip a rating but if you try to look at history it says I must activate services and that just leads to an error. I have already activated connected services since I’m using the Ram app and it works ok-ish.
