The problem is, on the 21's, the part number listed directly on the HCU on my truck, those of you on here who have looked, and even the limited I looked at, doesn't show up anywhere including Star Parts. I want to compare what the dealer shows for my truck and the ABS module on the limited to...
Did you look that up online on one of the parts sites, or actually have access to Star Parts? The system the dealer uses will tell them the exact part number installed on your specific VIN, except for the HCU on the 21's which apparently isn't in any database that I've found.
It’s fairly similar just uses a different visual layout. Choose your make, model, module and then specific year from the drop downs under “start”. Then once you’re connected go to the active diagnostics tab and use the drop downs to find the setting you’re looking for. Took me a few minutes to...
Glad to hear you got it working and know this portion of the upgrade works on its own. I’m back to having no regular cruise now and it’s stumping me as to why I got it to work before after messing with stuff, but now regular cruise won’t come back. Hoping I get some time today to stop by and...
The 5th antenna also eliminates the fault with the fobik safe system. If the antenna is not installed, and passive entry is present, there will be a fault in the RF Hub, and fobik safe won't function quite as intended from the factory.
Thanks for the in-depth explanation. I'm good with just about anything mechanical and general electrical schematics, but I'm still learning about all the canbus stuff on these newer vehicles and how it interacts with the various modules.
I found a 2021 Laramie at a local dealer that has the...
Try going through the abs initialization procedure. The app gives directions on the steps to go though it. Or follow the steps in the original attachment. If I'm not mistaken, lane sense gets some data from the abs module, which may be the key to both ACC and LDW in our trucks.
Side note, if...
@Jimmy07 do you have any thoughts as to why I can get ACC to function for a brief period but after a few miles, or a cycle of the ignition it kicks off and the warning lights come back on?
To get it to work I have the following set as indicated:
Cruise Control Present: YES
Type of adaptive...
There are 3 settings that need to be changed from factory defaults if your truck didn’t come with LDW. There are 4 in the list that’s in the original attachment at the beginning of this thread, one of them you shouldn't have to touch.
Set the following as shown below...
Lane departure warning...
Wasn’t any extra, just a different configuration of the ones listed. Doing a little more testing this morning. Had it working on the highway and it would speed up and slow down based on distance selected. However I’m not confident the brakes engage to slow the truck if someone slows down...
I want to hold off until I know it’s a permanent change or not. I cycled the ignition again and got warning lights and had to go back in and undo then redo changes to get back to having it work. So something is still acting funny and the change isn’t sticking permanently. I’ll see what I can...
Disregard my last post. Good news....I got ACC functioning, still have FCW/AEB, regular cruise, and have no warnings on the dash. I only went around the block and didn’t have the chance to test it in traffic, but I’ll do that tomorrow. Also haven’t cycled the ignition more than once since I got...
Messed with the settings a little more tonight now that I have a functioning windows tablet that actually connects.
@Jimmy07, any ideas as to why as long as I am connected to the abs module, I can get ACC to come up and display just fine without any warnings, but as soon as I disconnect I lose...
Same part number as myself and several others, as well as the loaded limited I looked at on the lot.
ACC comes up several times in the full BCM status. Someone with more knowledge of it all than me might be able to chime in.

Can you use AlfaOBD and connect to the ABS and see what part and hardware number come up? I’m guessing it will probably be the same as mine. I have FCW but not lame sense from the factory.

I’ll see what I can find for part numbers when I get my new tablet. The part number that came up under the ABS in AlfaOBD was the part number on the side of the HCU on my truck. There isn’t the standard Mopar part number that I can find anywhere on the outside of the actual ABS module.
