Park assist requires additional sensors, a different module, and the button on the center stack (screen). The lane keep assist requires the different center stack and changes in the bcm.
I tried changing just the abs module on my 21 and still wasn’t able to get ACC functioning correctly. I’m...
If it does, it sure has more confidence in the trucks ability to stop than I do. I’ve never had it apply the brakes, but I’ve heard it actually does a pretty damn good job getting stopped.

I’m not sure how well it reacts to a totally stationary object. From what I understand it uses algorithms to compute closing distance, time to collision, etc, based on two moving objects… I’ve had it go off several times either while coasting up on someone that was slowing to turn, or if someone...
Good to hear. I need to stop dragging my feet and order the correct HCU.
Easiest way I think to see if FCW will react is to set it to far, and wait for someone to start slowing in front of you to make a turn. Mine will usually start beeping at about 3-4 truck lengths if they haven’t gotten...
It might take a couple of turns for the system to estimate the length of the trailer, but it should pick it up. I leave mine on auto and it usually overestimates the trailer, an 18’ car hauler plus tongue, at 30’ and adjusts the blind spot warning accordingly.

I’ve had this happen 3 times now, twice turning right, once left, along with several near stalls while turning right. All under the same conditions; driving slowly, 15-20mph while coasting gradually to make a turn. As soon as I get back on the gas the truck dies. I pulled codes before cycling...
I've had my 21 Laramie shut off 3 times on me now, all at speeds under 20 MPH, however I got no warning lights and no codes came up when I connected to it before or after cycling the ignition. Check under the dash on the driver's side. Just above where your left foot would be there is a heavy...
Can you get to it with a piece of fuel line or similar sized tubing taped to the end of a shop vac? I've had success with this method before in similar situations.
Are you saying your light illuminates when the button is pressed now? I’m still not finding any updated data on the tsb that says the pcm update was ever released.

I haven’t had a chance to mess with replacing the HCU yet. It’s on my to-do list, it just keeps getting bumped by random stuff that comes up.

I remember getting an error related to the rear parksense when messing with the abs modules. Is the entire rear system disabled or are you getting a message about the assist w/stop feature?
The number that star parts showed for the HCU doesn’t match the number that’s actually on it. This was all a gamble with the hopes the installed HCU on the 21’s would work. Now we know for sure it does not. There is no regular part number like we see on other Mopar parts on the abs module. The...
I was going off of the part number visible on the actual unit itself. For some reason all the 21 models have the same external number, 68438453AC, even though there is an apparent difference in the function themselves. No data exists on that part number anywhere that I’ve been able to find...
I actually thought about giving that a try to see if it would do anything, but I was running short on time and wanted the truck drivable without any issues. Maybe if I get a chance I’ll swap it back out and give it a try since it’s a pretty easy swap.

I did attempt to run them all; the inlet valve was the one that gave me the CODEG error when it failed. The only ones that ran successfully were the sensor cluster and brake pedal.
After seeing the interface between the abs and hcu first-hand, and seeing that there are electrical connections...
Got the module installed, it's pretty straightforward, just a little cramped to work without removing the wheel or liner.
The static ECU initialization and clearing rolls says it is successful, however when I go to run through the initialization procedure it fails and gives me a CODEG error.
I...
