So just measured the driver vs passenger front. My truck is 1" higher on passenger side (side that was jacked up) then the driver side which was not jacked up.
So the 1" higher is probably making a huge difference in how close it is to my fender wall
So I've test fitted the KSP 1.5" spacers and the BW pocket flares. Since my lift has brought the front in 1/2 tracking is the same front to back. So rear flare to tire on back it's about 1 1/4 and and front is about 3/4 of an inch. So if I go with 2.5" spacer on back I'll get the tire with 1/4...
I have the Rough Country Speedometer Calibrator that I used once if anyone wants to buy it. I paid $235 for it with discount (would have been $260 normal price.
Anyone interested chuck me an offer. I'm in Whitby and work in Toronto (Keele/Lawrence)
I'm not sure if that is what he was thinking when I emailed him or not, I never told him where the Loctite was being used, just asked why it voids warranty. So based on that, I assume he thought that I was talking about Loctite on the spacer studs. While I was still emailing him back and fourth...
For sure 100% I agree with what he says.. That is why I would be a little worried about using RED Locktite, if you need power tools or heat to remove a bolt from RED Locktite I would worry about the studs spinning inside of the spacer if they were to brake free even though they are pressed in...
So I emailed Motorsport (BORA) about the use of Loctite and here is the response I got (for a company that is well known with high-end spacers, I feel their responses are a little less then professional).. The responses haven't been rude, delayed or uninformative but they don't seem as...
Yes that right it is. I used to hit Bobcaygeon/Minden all the time when I have my ATV. Bancroft was nicer for mudding with the ATVs tho. I find Minden has too much rock, but good for the Jeeps.
So everyone says red lock-tite. Are there not problems trying to remove them down the road with the...
What spacers did you go with for the 2" ?
If the 1.5" looks fine with the fender flares I'll just keep the KSPs because they get good reviews on Amazon, Tacoma forums and people on here... I am thinking more then likely the 1.5" will probably not be enough with the pocket flares as the coverage...
Do you guys worry about the KSPs being an inferior product compared to say Boras? The one thing I think Boras have over KSP is the Bora's are built to order whereas the KSP's are mass produced. So even though the KSPs look good is there quality control differences between the 2. Bora seems like...
Has anyone felt the need to buy a paint marker to make the spacer nuts and spacer to monitor that the bolts haven't shifted.
I know you can't see it unless you take your wheels off. So maybe you just retorque when wheels are off.
Is it pointless to mark them since you can't see unless wheel...
What I mean by doubling up is making the 1/2" become 1"... I don't mean stacking them on top of each other.
Reason I'm saying to double up is the PPF is 1/2 wide. The rubber for the flares when I measured is also 1/2. I was planning on leaving a slight gap like you said (about 1/8) so by doing...
The Nitto Ridge Grapplers (which is what I have 11.5 wide) come out to 34.76x11.42 so they are pretty close to actual measurements. Of course, all tires have slightly different measurements. So for sure it depends on where your tires come from.
Fun thing for me is, when I got my tires last year...
Yes I seen the wide ones, I have been debating between order those and doing what you did... or going with 1/2"x100 and going that route.
I was going to get the 3/4x100 but I figure it's an extra $20, and with the 1/2x100 I am going to have A BUNCH left.. So what I will end up doing is double up...
a 285/75/18 is equivalent to 34.8x11.2
" 285/75R18 tires have a diameter of 34.8", a section width of 11.2", and a wheel diameter of 18". The circumference is 109.4" and they have 579 revolutions per mile.
Generally they are approved to be mounted on 7.5-9.5" wide wheels. - Tiresize.com "
Full crank rub I'm not concerned, heat gun and reshape if it becomes annoying.
Rub on normal turns would be troublesome.
I've heard some without rubbing at all with 2" and others with rubbing.
I'm going to be buying some Xpel PPF tape to place under the flares between the rubber gasket and paint (my 2500 had the BW Pocket Flares, so I've seen first hand the damaged caused)
Will 12ft be enough or will I need more? $22 for 12ft and $60 for 100ft
