What did it eat your paint job? Where?
I feel like this one will provide a good amount of protection especially with the curved up lip on it. Not exactly a fashion statement but not bad/ugly either. I can live with it and for the added rock protection even more so.
I am a little concerned...
Thanks I'll give that a shot this weekend.
I was worried about heat ruining the plastic. I'll just keep my hear gun away and maybe use some fishing line. I don't have long fingernails, I'm a bitter eeek!! LOL
Ordered the AVS bugflector 2 a few days ago from Amazon and got it today. Was either this or Weathertech and both looks the same. I had a $20 gift card from Amazon so it made sense.
Not usually a huge fan of these things because they can look "grampy" and snow/ice gets stuck behind them. But I...
Decided to do a small upgrade. Got the AVS Bugflector 2 delivered today and installed. I'm not usually a huge fan of these things but.... I also don't like rock chips on my hood or windshield. So I went for it and I don't mind it to be honest. I thought it would have taken away the look of the...
I opted to order the Wellvisors from the one and only dealer in Ontario and is also conveniently on my way to work. They should be here in 2 weeks.
As I said not much info amongst various forums of different vehicles. And only a handful here. But decided I'd take the chance as there is a 1...
I have the Mopar Lift and I believe when I put the links the measurements from eye to eye was longer then the factory one. It's been 1 year so I can't remember exactly.
I think when I researching some people said they would get away with the factory links. And I'm sure you could. But with that...
No I have zero rubbing issues. If I hadn't removed the bracket then I would be been rubbing. Some minors adjustments to the fender liner and it's all good.
Been on for a few thousand km now.
I'm also looking the AVS low profile ones as well. Part #AVS994064. They were also mentioned here but not much info. They are like the Wellvisors that should give long flowing look. That's really the only reason I entertain these stick on versions.
Anyhow have these? Unfortunately there are no...
I know this thread is almost 1 year old now, but I did have some questions about the Wellvisor.
1) how are they holding up for those who have them?
2) I wonder why these are not as "popular" like AVS, WT, EGR etc.... As much as I like the in-channel style over stick on, these ones have a nice...
Definitely needed with the truck lifted and bigger tires. I found when I lifted my truck (roughly 5" all together with tires) I found that on the highway I truck swayed during lane changes and it didn't feel very nice and not planted. I didn't like the feeling. So I upgraded to the Hellwig and I...
Finish what they promised in what regard? With a promised amount with the factory building the stuff?
Because they are still taking orders as I just ordered. It seems like they have sold 3 million dollars worth of funding/backing/product.
In any case I'm patient and know it could be waiting a...
Just placed an order for October delivery. Long wait but I'm sure it will be worth it. I was going to get it awhile back when it was still $55 but now it's $75. Ah well I'm just glad to have a solution for short trips and multiple stops where I won't need to constantly unplug my phone. Like when...
For those of you installing your own kit... learn from my mistake...
Short story: check your nutz and the torque.
So basically for the last while I have been hearing a clicking noise and it was getting worse. Took to dealer because I thought it was the brakes or front suspension. Ends up 1...
No I didn't , and the company couldn't explain why. It doesn't bother me because it only happens when the turn signals are on and the doors are open. If the doors are open and turn signals OFF I don't get a flicker. I don't know if it's a power consumption issue with the truck or the step lights...
You can't wire the turn signals with the 7-pin connector because the turn signals and brake lights share the connector.
You need to wire your turn signal lights into the taillights.
Had to make a minor adjustment on the front fender. At full lock in reverse the knobs on the tires were hitting the driver side front liner. Passenger side is fine.
Tried to heat and reshape but it just bounced back to almost the same shape. So I put a hole in the center of the liner and used...
Your protrusion/track should be the same or close to all around with having the same spacers all around. When I put the 1.5" test spacers on (checking for fitment before I ordered the bigger spacers) my track was the same all around. With having the lift it sucks the front tires in because of...
Yes I had to cut the bracket on the front, it's the bracket that holds the fender liner with the "christmas tree" style push pin. I cut it and then zip tied the portion back. It was a requirement for me because of the 35" tires and 2" wheel spacers. I did test fit 1.5" spacers and I don't think...
If you want the track to be the same all around you'll need 2 difference sizes as long as your vehicle isn't lifted. As a stock truck the front has a wider track then the rear by 1/2" total (1/4" on each side)
So if you want track to be the same, you'd need to get a 1.5" for front and 1.75"...
