I've used the expensive 3m eraser wheel and it works great on metal surfaces, but DO NOT USE ANY OF THE WHEELS ON PLASTIC PAINTED PANELS. Ask me how I know.
This stuff is expensive but blows goo gone out of the water. Let it soak for a min and get after it. Bottle is large, so kinda justifies...
Nothing life changing today.
- mounted a 12v outlet next to the fuse box after my third dash cam hardwire kit failed.
- covered the scratched up plastic cargo system piece in carpet.
- Mounted my amp for good behind newly modded (to fold down) rear seat.
- Discoved my floorboard is wet again so...
Nice job. I had hoped mine would fit in that valance, but had planned on a hitch mount from the get go. Mine are pretty inconspicuous when you take a step back and look like they should be there. Plus, 1800 legit Lumens and a lifetime warranty.
Got a couple pics of how I wired them. Black wire...
It's probably heater hose or similar, you need nylon hose for fuel/oil.

Nope, from what I've seen it's just as bare back there in a limited.. Except for maybe the e-tourqe battery... Does that count?

I'd say so. Sounds better to me.
The polyfill makes the sub think it's in a bigger box than it really is by slowing down sound waves. Folks been using that for years to gain airspace in sealed enclosures. Don't pack it, should be loose like a pillow.
The sound deadening on the sub box reduces...
Big improvement! Cabin noise is down alot, but also both my factory sub and aftermarket sub output has drastically increased!
I did put some polyfill in the factory sub box and some sound deadening on the back. That thing is the lamest excuse for a subwoofer ever.

Almost midnight and finally finished the sound deadening and got the truck put back together. Can't wait till my morning drive to test it out. Layer of Noico 80 mil butyl, and two layers of noico 157 mil closed cell foam.
Also new back window seems like a much beefier design and the window that...
Zero. See pic. The seats and that felt/cardboard panel is all you get.
Removed my seat so they could replace my back window. Figured I'd sound deaden the back wall and floor while it was out.
Drive with no back seat and you'll see how much road and exhaust noise is generated back there.

Nice, Got CDTs in the front and rear doors. Been eye balling those 2" wide band tweeter/midrange hybrids for the dash. Can't wait to hear your results.
No way I'd be able to live with that [emoji23].
He's the first step to my madness. It's the backside of the panel that covers the back wall. I'll also apply 80mil butyl sound deadening and maybe another layer of foam on the back wall and on the floor up to the console/front seats.
Also did the...
Dropped my truck off to get the window replaced tomorrow. Say a prayer for me that they don't screw anything else up in the process. Hell I even removed my freshly katzkin'd seats and trim panel for them.
As soon as I get it back, I'm going to leak test and then sound deaden the back wall and...
Thinking of hitting mine with caliper paint and then bake it with a heat gun.
Then paint the calipers to match [emoji23]

When I take the panels off to do sound deadening in vehicles, I always do a tap test to see where I need to do additional/preventative deading or separation using foam, tessa tape, or butyl mat. These are the trouble spots I found in these doors. Kinda already mentioned above. The window...
I wish I had an engineering paycheck. Instead I'm military with a very "engineering" mind. [emoji23]
I've also had to move across the country a few times, so some of the "unlikely" scenarios are slightly more likely for me.
