2020 ecodiesel here w/ 33 gallon tank & 3.92 gears, 8 months old and 21k miles
came from a 15' gmc 5.3 and i wouldn't go back to gas
diesel pros:
- better low end torque which is nice for pulling trailer, especially up hills
- better mieage, i average 23ish mpg but im also a pretty aggressive...
I wouldn't recommend the diesel to save money, especially if you pay a dealer to do the oil and fuel filter changes. $180 for an oil change w/ filter and $390 for a fuel filter which is ridiculous. But if you want the range with the 33 gallon tank then its awesome, my truck is about 8 months old...
Currently have the stock p rated tires, but as soon as these wear out im switching to LT/10ply tires. P-rated tires are too squishy for towing, and squish=higher temps which = higher chance of blow outs. And if you do off-roading you are more likely to have a something puncture the tire.
Worse...
So im at 19k miles and doing my fuel filter change and the dealer quoted me $390.00 and I was like WTF?!?!?! I asked how much the filter was and they are selling it for $60. I called up 2 other dealers near me and they both quoted me $390.00 and the filter was $60. None of them would give me a...
Honestly it just depends, I have the HK system and i added an additional 10" sub and i love it, but i also drive 1-3 hours/day and like to listen to my music with the volume all the way up.
sound is kinda something that you just need to experience. I thought they sounded pretty similar at low...
I pretty much only use apple carplay and its never given me any issues and it only takes a few seconds for it to connect to the truck.
-Make sure its a high quality cable, i use the cable that came with my phone.
- check for updates on your iphone
other than that, take the truck to the dealer...
Have a small concrete cutting & breaking company. 95% of our work is in distribution warehouses like Amazon, we cut out new doors, windows etc... We have actually done a lot of work at the Amazon that burnt down recently in Southern California.
1st off i have the ecodiesel, but the e-torque seems like a half-a**ed way to keep the EPA happy. From everybody on this forum there doesn't seem to be any real world MPG improvements and if i remember right the e-torque system shuts off after like 20mph so its pretty much only good in stop and...
2020 ram here, I live in Southern California and it does good. Even on the 100 plus days it stays cool inside the truck. I also don’t have a sun roof, seems like those make the truck hotter
Ya only time is gunna tell with the new 3rd gen ecodiesel. And I have the ram boxes on mine too lol. They honestly awesome. Don’t think I’ll get another truck without them. I fill them u and keep my cab and bed clean. The ecodiesel does have a noticeable lag off the lines. Like 1 - 1.5 second...
Oh ya, saw a post that said you were interested in the ecodiesel, Currently have 16k on mine and its still running good, the low end torque is very nice for towing and 22-29mpg + 33 gallon tank is very nice on long drives.
my 15' GMC did this when i put a 3.5" lift on it. Didn't seem to affect anything, and it aligned just fine. My best guess is that maxing out the arms changes geometry at full droop that the lower arms or tie rods aren't really designed for. Never did any real off roading in that truck and it was...
