In older, you mean 4th gen and older? The videos I saw for 5th gen non TRXs looked like the fluid was coming out of the fill plug when removed.
I will say, it drives much better since I changed the fluid. Sure, it might be the difference in synthetic vs non synthetic but I feel making sure it...
This makes me feel much better….I might crawl under this weekend and just retorque just to make sure they’re tight. But loving the ride with these on. Now to replace the rear.
Yeah I did see that in other threads, lots of guys asking Why they couldn’t sell it in a 5oz bottle already. I thought the same, but was glad to buy a second bottle to make sure to have extra on hand in case I messed it up.
I’m happy to report I completed the fluid flush and fill for the rear diff….was scared out of my mind doing it, have no idea why (maybe because this was the first ever time I did it). Had to run to auto store in the middle of it to get fluid transfer pump because my squeeze bottle idea didn’t...
I just put mine on today too and noticed a more firm front end. My plush ride is still there, this just plants the truck more. It’s awesome because I’ve made incremental changes over the last year and the ride just keeps getting better.
For those who installed the SuspensionMaxx links, did...
Forgot to post this too, this just happened in Outer Banks….check out the Corolla Beach Idiots facebook page. I don’t feel sorry for those people who just run up the beach without being prepared. Engine overheated. This is gonna spoil it for the rest of us
I’ve heard this for Delaware, get there early and go on off days because you won’t be able to get on the beach. I saw some bad pics of the beach erosion from that nor’easter a few weeks back, so I think that’s severely limiting the space to get on these beaches. Not to mention they’re...
I figured its way early (especially since I baby the truck and don’t drive a
lot, but this is a two fold exercise. Checking to make sure the level is sufficient and getting another maintenance item experience under my belt.
plus I can fill it with a high quality gear oil
Thanks, this is good to know and I did see a video from someone who used this. I’m not pulling the cover off this time, but when I do, I ll keep this as a necessity to put it back together
So I did my homework and checked local dealers for Amsoil…after a few phone calls, found a goldmine of Amsoil products at a local repair shop. And they were cheaper than website…got some grease too! So now I’m all set for this weekend to change the rear diff oil.
well, for multiple reasons: approaching 20k miles, saw stories of low fill from factory, and peace of mind knowing whats in there because I put it there.
Hello all friends! I did a search for this, but can’t seem to get a definitive answer. I’m changing the rear diff fluid in my 21 Ram with 3.92 limited slip diff next weekend. I purchased 2 bottles of the additive, but I’m really confused about the rear diff oil to use in it because of the...
Sorry this happened to you….fellow Lehigh Valley resident here and we stay away from Kelly. My wife was looking at a Durango there a couple cars back and the salesperson was not knowledgeable and seemed uninterested in selling us the vehicle. Plus they didn’t have a huge selection to choose...
Following and there are several threads out on this. Two biggest conclusions are brake clips or sway bar end links. I wanted to try to Isolate the sound, so I started process of elimination and sprayed the brake clip with brake cleaner. No change and chirp was still there. Now passenger side...
That’s exactly what I did, left the rear spacers out and installed the supplied Fox shocks. No issues at all and sits perfectly level. Yes, I know it was an expensive level, and I‘ll get the Carolina squat when I tow or haul, but I don’t tow or haul too much. And when I do, I plan to get...
Yep, from what I understand, earlier kits the rake was worse. All this kit does is raise the truck 2” and retains the factory rake. I despise rake, so I left the spacers off the rear and it sits nice and level. I also have the Mopar level.
I plan for airbags or bump stops to combat the sag...
