Unbelievable. Feel better now?
I‘m sure if you keep going you’ll soon reach your 10,000 post goal chastising the members here. You must be a real treat at parties!
I have a fair understanding of how they both work, but I’m by no means a pro user with either. That’s why I’m on this thread. My point was merely that you have to leave the TazerDT constantly plugged in and that I felt the AlphaOBD had more permanent changes once done and removed.
It all went...
Man O Man. Some people. I can see why you have 9,915 posts and the moniker of “locally hated”. You’re a right fighter. They’re all sarcastic posts!
I didn’t join this forum to have a pi$$ing match. It appears that you did.
Personally, I came to learn about my truck, share some of my experience...
Nobody said you’re wrong! Gawd!
Were you beat up as a kid???
You’re always willing to argue with someone here.
I was merely pointing out the difference between the two systems.
You go ahead and do you. I’m alright with that. I’ve got better things to do than to mince words.
I guess one factor I forgot to mention. Mine is not constantly plugged into the back of the OEM reader port, so the OEM reader port is fully functional when the dealership plugs in. My cable is disconnected from the back of said OEM reader port and tucked up under the dash however, still plugged...

Like I said. You do you
I have extended warranty for another 40K so they still use the reader port whenever I go in for service.
My security bypass cable remains plugged into the bar but not attached to the reader port. I keep it tucked in up under the dash.
There when I want it. No issue with...
No And…It’s but.
Everyone has their own preferences. I prefer one and done. Not to have to remove something whenever I get service work done. Tazer’s have a few neat features, but again, have to remain plugged in.
I have no issue with you following whatever regime you like or doing whatever you...
JScan doesn’t do near as much as AlphaOBD. It’s primarily for Jeeps.
The OBDLink MX+ reader works with both IOS on JScan and Android on AlphaOBD. Best of both worlds.
Are there cheaper versions of doing changes? Yes….but limited in options.
It all depends on what you want to do.
You’ll need AlphaOBD through Google Play. Works on Android Tablet or phone. Next you’ll need a security bypass cable. Many out there. Lastly, you’ll need an OBD Reader. Only certain OBD Readers are acceptable with AlphaOBD. Here’s some links to what I bought and use.
I got the Koadtech Security...
Here’s one for ya.
Wifes PT Cruiser a few years ago. Heat of summer, Wife complained about her car really starting to smell. I asked her what happened? She said the only thing she could think of was she found a container of Feta Cheeze had fallen over and opened when she got home from getting...
