Sorry guys - been MIA last couple of days... seems like some good progress is being made. Right now we have confirmed Lane Keep on one truck and almost all features on yours @MayhemMOORE, waiting on confirmation the abs module needs to be upgraded? If there is any useful information that needs...
found this from an old post of mine "I was reading and it turns out that the DASM uses information from the ABS Module to determine speed and Yaw rates for the LDW to predict its path. Since my ABS module is not the correct one for the DASM, it would make sense that is why lanesense isn't...
Yes, i do remember this one:
Body Control Module (BCM) does not expect the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) module to be present.
Cause:
BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) NOT CONFIGURED FOR ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL (ACC) MODULE
ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL (ACC) MODULE NOT CONFIGURED
I'm thinking you possibly...
ECU mismatch i believe is an ABS module issue. Could be wrong...but i had the same warning at one point. Also, the warning lights might take a few cycles to disappear
With anything - it'll just take a bit of trial and error before we figure out the procedure. I figured something along these lines would happen.
ABS module swap is easy and can be done rather quickly - no bleeding required. its the HCU that is more labor intensive. Do you have any ABS error...
I had a representative contact me every time i ordered something...which is helpful - if you're not doing a project like this. One time they cancelled the order because it was the "wrong" part. Very frustrating
From a manufacturer's perspective, i would think having 1 module that can do ACC and regular would be better than having to worry about 2 separate modules. I know that the ACC ABS/HCU has no negative effects on the truck if not using for ACC.
All this being said, i think the odds are in your...
My center stack has the Lane Assist and Park Assist button. Park assist button does not work and it doesn't show errors. So you could get one with it unless you don't want a non-functional button.
Does your center gauge display show the menu for lane sense? You should also be able to activate...
That is very interesting and makes sense... thanks for the info. Not interested in the feature enough to add all of that.
Yes, lane sense works as it does from the factory... Gently nudging the wheel back towards the center of the lane. It definitely does not keep you in the center though. It...
So I think there is no other modules used for this other than the DASM parking sensors, and maybe blind spot radar(?) for auto park. I have enabled it all that I can find in alpha but the feature does not work on my truck.
Found the part number: 68381578AB
Wiring to it looks easy enough. No idea on the enabling the function or not, or how the dash would have to be modified. The previous truck's (before HUDs) BCM might not even be capable of activating it.
