There are a few separate threads on this topic (like 5 I think).
Anyway, this is what I have from digging into it. Basically, Uconnect does not provide accurate or truthful information...
So W9MCP has a 2019, no subscriptions and he gets a Health Report, interesting... This seems to go against...
Well, I do get that some people are "simple" and they see that great big display and are easily impressed, maybe keep it on a mellow AM station all the time and just don't get into all the bells and whistles... But for those of us that like that sort of thing (technology) maybe went out of their...
Android runs across many different builds of hardware (phones, tablets, tv's, etc...) That's many different combinations of hardware & software mixing together. If one device starts to miss updates, it can render some things incompatible or they can perform poorly, it may work some for some...
I believe what happens is Android apps get updated weekly/monthly, etc... and the radio does not get updated at all, so something gets out of whack.
Seriously, what current media device/smart device/application running device does not get updated on a weekly/monthly basis these days?
And how...
Android Auto + Uconnect 12 = janky and problematic, its not just you. Mine will work fine and then the next day it will be "half connected" where its plugged in and phone calls will work but the Waze screen wont load or Spotify will play music, but it does not show any of the controls on the...
So I received my first "Discount" advertisement from Guardian the other day, I guess my service has been expired for about a month now. It's still not reasonable at all in my opinion so hopefully they come down more, half of the half price and I'll consider it... The fact that they force the...
To be more specific, start/stop was not utilized in my case because I had just pulled out and didn't bring the vehicle to a stop yet, stall happened mid turn while slowing down (flat surface) and immediately came back to life, didn't fully stall out but did trigger the "place vehicle in park...
Just found this thread... I have a 2020 1500, eTorque, 5.7 & have not had a single engine issue to date. On Monday I was leaving work, the truck started normal, pulled out of spot, drove down road and made second turn and for a split second it stalled, then came back. I saw the "place vehicle in...
No USB Stick for me, Just android phones and regardless whether one is plugged in or not I still notice poor performance and glitches occasionally. It would not surprise me though if some glitches are caused by the phones being plugged in.
My theory is that this service is priced to purposely fail. I'm not sure why, but I assume they have some corporate weaselly reason... For starters it's just way over priced for what you get, I mean seriously... The only feature worth a damn is the remote start/unlock from the phone (and...
I'll post this again, both SiriusXM & Uconnect claim there is an issue with this radio.
As a side note, I'm not trying to bust balls and disparage the truck, I am however incredibly pissed that they are not properly supporting this radio. The truck revolves around the radio and down the road...
I wonder if these are "update issue's" where the phones continually gets updates to be current (Android/Apple) but the truck radio never gets updated and then things are sort of out of sync...?
It's beyond me that they don't update this 12" system for performance tweaks, security, fix some bugs...
The clock is honestly the absolute worst... I remember my old man driving with me the first time after I got the truck and he's like "where's the clock ?" I reluctantly point to it and he's like "that big *** screen and that's the damn clock" I could feel the WTF emitting from him, lol...
So this seems to have gone away by this morning... Not sure if the refresh from SiriusXM did anything or just giving it time to sort itself out. Very concerning considering the poor performance and reliability from this radio, add this to the long list of glitches.
Just to clarify, I did not...
Yeah, as long as truck is drivable I dont panic. All is still under warranty but issues like this are disappointing as hell. If we had a road trip scheduled and I found the Nav & sat radio bugging out it would have really sucked...
12" Uconnect does not have a button combo to reboot, only way is a battery disconnect. If someone disagrees, please post a link with video of someone actually accomplishing this... I've tried every which way to reboot this radio and it ain't happening. The second you push the volume button in it...
No battery disconnect, but I am aware of the loss of certain functionally after a disconnect. Nothing out of the ordinary, just driving.
Only thing that has changed that is related to this radio is I did not renew the ridiculously overpriced "Guardian Services", But that was like two weeks ago...
