Uconnect 5 is much better but…

I was interested as to what this type off error meant and I found this on the Durango forum. "The code can take up to 40 ignition cycles to clear and this stored fault may show up at a dealership before it has an opportunity to clear."

Navigation update, anyone try it yet? (2021 Map Update for Uconnect® 4C NAV w/ 12" touchscreen (v3 SBX): For U.S. Only)

Yeah that sucks... Maybe give it while, I know this radio sometimes needs time to sort itself out after power cycles, etc... If you read through the forum you will find that the Uconnect 12" system is mysterious, poorly supported product that everyone seems to report a different experience with...

    Engine stalled / shut off

I just wanted to add an observation to this thread (I may even create another), I'm not sure if this is associated to this issue because I haven't had a full blown stall out. When making a fairly hard turn with a slight incline with the truck already in motion (like out of a parking lot onto...

Uconnect 5 is much better but…

Me personally, I don't consider this type of item to be in the "early adaptor" category. This type of tech has been a round for a while, its a touchscreen that controls the radio, nav and some vehicle features, nothing ground breaking there. The only thing that sets it apart is that's a bit...

Navigation update, anyone try it yet? (2021 Map Update for Uconnect® 4C NAV w/ 12" touchscreen (v3 SBX): For U.S. Only)

Yup, the update page has their info at the bottom so I guess it's their maps/updates, etc...

Navigation update, anyone try it yet? (2021 Map Update for Uconnect® 4C NAV w/ 12" touchscreen (v3 SBX): For U.S. Only)

I thought the Navigation software was supplied by HERE Technologies, seems like they are a big company that should be on top of things. "With 35 years of experience in mapmaking and 8,000 employees across 56 countries, we are the world's leading location platform company. Today, more than 160...

Navigation update, anyone try it yet? (2021 Map Update for Uconnect® 4C NAV w/ 12" touchscreen (v3 SBX): For U.S. Only)

Yeah, I think people are just pissed (at least myself) because they charged and extra $2085 for the latest and greatest radio/nav but put old (very old apparently, 2017) maps and failed to keep it updated/patched. I sort of wish I just stuck with the smaller one now. I know realistically the HW...

For me, the mic icon is greyed out (parked or driving) yet the search button from the wheel allows a voice search... So I cant touch the Mic icon and initiate a voice search, but I can from the steering wheel... I don't understand what's going on there.

Well, looks like mine is LR-34.2.0 and still no online search. (Application Version USA-SBX-12.1-LR-34.2.0-20200123-L0M2)

Did you pay with Paypal? I'd dispute it as an Item not as described and get the $$$ back. States 2021 map, very misleading unless there is a fine print we are missing.

Navigation update, anyone try it yet? (2021 Map Update for Uconnect® 4C NAV w/ 12" touchscreen (v3 SBX): For U.S. Only)

My guess is they have some kind of license/activation method (online pc/phone or via the truck?) , maybe someone whos completed this can confirm?

Well I mean, doesn't the truck still need the LTE connection regardless if you pay or not (or trial runs out)? From my reading through a million threads I thought there was a mention that its always there for OTA's, maybe some other things. Meaning, even if you don't pay for it and use it, its...

    Nav system offline

The only thing that's associated with the Nav from the Guardian service is the "Send and Go" which also was a worked only sometimes feature. Not sure why it would dictate whether or not online searches work, not even sure how they would be remotely associated. The only thing I can think of is...

Honestly it's just all over the place, one person gets this, one gets that, one has this working another doesn't have it working... lol.

Did you get an OTA randomly or did you have to chase it down from the dealer? (Application Version USA-SBX-12.1-LR-34.2.0-20200123-L0M2)

Yeah, no mention of "Navigation online Search" in the services included, I wonder why they are shady with this? Still an incredible rip off.

Wow, finally a damn answer... Thank you for posting that. Interesting that there is no wording regarding this that can be found on any of the websites (Uconnect, SXM, etc...) Seems like a typical corporate scummy thing to do so not surprising...

Navigation update, anyone try it yet? (2021 Map Update for Uconnect® 4C NAV w/ 12" touchscreen (v3 SBX): For U.S. Only)

So, was the firmware & map updated via USB? I'm assuming nothing was OTA, correct?
