    Ticking noise, 6000 Miles Hemi.

Interesting.....no abnormal noises this morning, on a cold start. I am guessing it was a stuck lifter, after sitting for a week. I have a similar problem with my M112 MB engine when it sits, it takes a few minutes for the lifters to quiet. Wouldn't have expected it at 5000 miles however, does...

    Ticking noise, 6000 Miles Hemi.

At 5000 miles ? My previous truck did not start "ticking" until about 38000, and it would stop after a minute or so, which was a cracked manifold. This one sounds different, and doesn't stop until the motor is fully up to temp. I'll be much happier if it is the manifolds, or a broken exhaust...

    Ticking noise, 6000 Miles Hemi.

Just checked, no noise when fully hot, so I'll check it again from cold tomorrow. Maybe a lifter was slow to pump up, as it hadn't been driven for a week. 1000 or so miles since dealer oil change......🤔

    Ticking noise, 6000 Miles Hemi.

Hmmmm just noticed a tick on cold start, this morning on my 24 with 5000 mls. It's not manifold issues, as I had that on my 19, and it went away after a few minutes. Guess it's a trip to the dealer...... what on earth is going on with Ram?. I have had hemi's since 2009, and never had an issue...

Oil cooler adapter cracked and leaking oil

just a suggestion, but if it's not a warranty repair, Dorman make a filter/cooler that is aluminum, instead of plastic, and so it is much more durable. It's considered an upgrade in the Jeep Pentastar world, as far as I know.........

2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

In a start/stop event, the small battery powers the electronics etc, and allows the main battery to concentrate on cranking. They have had the system since 2018 on JL Wranglers

2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

It's for the ESS system.................if you want to read how problematic the dissimilar sized batteries are, visit the JL Wrangler forum. they have been using that system since 2018 on the JL's............. a lot of people have had issues with the small battery dying and draining the main...

    NoLimitz group buy, Z-Automotive

K, I get it is just trimming a plug, but the options of Trim my factory male connector, or basically butcher the female connector on the harness, is not something I am prepared to do. Like I say, it's a shame, because I really like their other products, and love the Tazer in my Jeep. Now if it...

    NoLimitz group buy, Z-Automotive

Yes I read them, and saw that, but you also have to do the same to the factory connector, OR totally cut the top off the female connector on the device, which means it would probably be unsellable if I sold the Ram.......... either way not totally comfortable. They make one for smaller screens...

    NoLimitz group buy, Z-Automotive

Hmmm looks like a great item, and disabling the MDS would be tremendous ,but, unfortunately after reading the installation instructions, it seems you need to modify some harness connectors for use on years 2022+ , which I don't think I would be prepared to do. Shame cos I really like the Tazer...

Drove the new 2025 Ram 1500 SST today and have questions

The motorcycle battery is probably for the ESS system, like they have in the Jeeps (without Etorque) In the Jeep world they cause all sorts of issues due to the different charging capacities. Quite a few people bypass them, due to their location in the Jeep. At least in the Ram's it appears...

    2025's question

Yeah I'm p1ssed about that.........I bought a 24 cos I wanted another Hemi (even though I was forced to get etorque), but they cheaped out by removing the flares on 23's and 24's only to bring them back on 25's............ just can't win.............although I'm glad I got the 24 as I really...

Windshield wiper fluid not coming out

Oh by the way, if you intend fixing it yourself (it's easy) you will need to source the hood liner clips, as I believe they are a one time use. I never managed to get many out without damaging them. You can find them on Amazon...

Windshield wiper fluid not coming out

Shouldn't need to prime, but the fittings under the hood lining have a habit of coming apart, spraying the fluid into the hood liner. Had this happen twice on my 2019, so the last time I used zip ties to stop them coming apart

    Just curious

I traded my 2019 last year for this current 2024. It had apx 37000 miles, and the only issues were the squealing brakes when reversing, and I replaced the battery just last year. One thing I did notice tho, was that the paint was starting to yellow on the fairing above the bumper, and on the...
