Finally got my 2020 Big Horn how I want it! 7in MaxTrac lift with Fox Coilovers and rear shocks sitting on 35 in Ridge Grapplers! The smile hasn’t left my face since getting it back from the auto shop…
what did you end up going with? i have a 7/4in maxtrac lift coming in for my truck and have been looking for UCA's that will work... ive been told to get stock level UCA's but cant seem to find any that aren't specified as 2-4 in
Update for anyone that cares. Katzkin sales team is very cool and helpful. They let me know that the single tone factory matching leather for the whole truck would be $1800 and to add the Heating/Cooling Ventilation it would be about another $1500 for a total around $3600 after taxes and...
I'm interested in swapping out my cloth interior with some leather seat covers and have recently discovered the Katzkin Leather seat covers as a nice-looking option especially since they have the option to add seat ventilation (Hot as heck in FL).
Does anyone here have experience with adding...
Ya I found that they sell 1.5inch coil spacers for the back end that level the whole thing out. Thank you so much for helping me out with this stuff. I think i'll unfortunately just return the RC lift and purchase the package that MaxTrac has so i can have the peace of mind that it will work on...
gotcha that is great to know... i'll continue to check out about the RC Vertex coils with some shops around.
About that MaxTrac lift... is that a 4 inch lift? the way it reads on its description is odd.
Is that a quality company/lift kit? I'm not positive on which brands to want and which to stay away from. If so that will work and i'll just return the RC lift kit too.
i've also heard mention that the crossmember needs to be cut for 4WD to allow clearance for the diff. Is that something that could cause issue since they wouldn't need to cut the crossmember in my truck.
I believe they are adjustable because the guy from Rough Country said to let him know if i order the 4WD version so he can throw in a coilover adjustment wrench that they sell.
To be honest i'm so new to this world i really am not familiar with most of these parts. Id think that since they don't have to cut it that would be better no? So the installer when matching up the crossmember would know if the coilovers would work or not? I almost need a script from you on...
He just seemed to be unsure of the stress it may cause on the ball joints or other parts down there that could be stressed since the 4WD coilovers may cause the front to ride a tad higher than usual. He said if it was his truck he'd be 60/40 on it with the 60 being that he wouldn't do it with...
I do believe the last guy i talked to at RC today mentioned something about being able to lower them because he said he'd throw in a "vertex coilover adjusting wrench" to do that with if i did decide to repurchase the 4WD Coilovers....
gotcha thanks. hmmm well most people on here seem to think the 4WD coilovers will work... now i just need to make the decision on whether or not im willing to risk the money. Would be an absolute killer if there was a problem with the install.
Talked to one of the reputable installers in my area and he said he was 50/50 on it. He deff didn't seem 100% positive but maybe I need to make a few more calls.
They did mention weight, and they also said that since it's a Hemi it not much lighter than a 4x4 would be. I just really dont want to spend $2400 on 4WD specific coilovers and either cause issues with other suspension parts or have it not fit at all. You and the other main guy i've spoken to on...
I really appreciate your help today you have been a big help. So in your opinion what they're saying about causing pressure to the ball joints or other parts down there isn't necessarily the case?
One guy did mention that since mine is a Hemi the weight should not be off too bad. Do you have experience installing 4wd kits on 2wd trucks at all? You seem very knowledgeable and very helpful which i'm extremely grateful for because today has been very confusing trying to figure this out.
