@Jimmy07 I am ordering the AlphaOBD in the next few days with a bypass. I have a 19 Larmie, optioned out with everything but bed lighting. It was built in 18. Since it looks like no one has tested enabling the options for the Trailer TPMS. I will get you feed back as soon as I get the part to...
So as this tends to be an issue that is related to brakes and the risk are being passed onto the consumer I am reaching out to a legal advisor who deals with NHTSA by forcing companies to Recall Safety items on a vehicle vs TSBs, which brakes are classified as a safety feature. I dealt with this...
My post in another thread. Essentially its dealer to dealer and for FCA they will hide behind brakes are wear and tear. Thus 12 months/12k miles even though it is an obvious defect vs wear.

Its AutoNation in Valencia. Currently being worked into another dealership in Ventura. I've also learned customer service varies from dealership to dealership and service rep to service rep.

@Bram2019
Compared to most it seems like my truck is out of date. I have asked for updates when I would take it in for Oil Changes. Here is my current software. Also here is the email I got from FCA before I took it in.
Email:
Thank you for contacting Ram Customer Assistance and asking about...
@dts828 that is what I am doing. I think a found a dealership, a little further, that seemed to want to help. Just have to wait a week to get in. It's a smaller dealership.
My previous dealership said they would assist. However I am in CA and previous dealership was in VA. Looking through the forum I see similar issues about how dealerships work with customers on a lot of issues. Some the dealership works for the customer and some the customer is a paycheck.
That was pretty much my statement to the dealership. Their reply was I failed to update my software version, and since it is out of the 3/36 it is now my responsibility to update the radio software/EQ software. Then once software is updated they will perform the recall.
Then he went to explain...
@securityguy
So the recall is covered, they clearly stated that. Just not the software update to get the recall OTA. So my software became out of date and since I am out of 3/36 AND my vehicle is not receiving OTA due to version. I have to pay for the dealership to install software updates.
It's okay, my truck is on 18.27.17 with BootMicro ver. 18.26.01 and EQ 3.4. Went to the dealership and got told I have to update my software to do the recall. Well I am out of the 3/36k. So i get to pay for my recall. Guess I will have to deal with my reverse camera. Kinda BS buying the truck...
So I just got told I will need to pay for an update the dealership never did. My truck is outside of 3/36. My current software is 18.27.17 with my EQ 3.4. Essential won't receive OTA pushes. Always serviced at a Ram dealership. Now I get to pay for the update. WTF. Just got off the phone with...

Anyway to push the update. Still sitting on 18.27.17. 2019 Oct purchase.
Looks like a have a lot of outdated versions as well.
Truck has always been serviced at Ram. Thanks for the over charged oil changes I guess.
@RamCares
Oh agree, I am curious to why Ram picked 7100 for GVWR when as you mentioned if the axles are loaded close to even. You could theoretically get close to 8k GVWR. Wonder what the limiting item is? Obviously 7100 keeps you within limits but that's 900 lbs they could of used for the payload battle...
That's funny you did that. I Did the similar experiment just this weekend. Went to lowes, got 37 bags of drainage rock. Weighed 4 bags to get an avg of 45lbs each. Put the total weight to 1682 + pallet. Drove home about a mile and cycled between aero, normal, and entry. It did fine. Added the...
