Just had the same issue with mine. Someone here advised to use the white grease. I finally got "round tuit" LOL, and so far the issue has went away. AND the tailgate seems to close/latch easier than it ever has which was always a complaint of mine, had to basically slam it shut (Dealer Said...
Someone can give a better answer or confirm, but I thought the truck would shut down before voltage dropped too low to start. Kind of a fail safe thing.
Haven't tried in the RAM but my last Ford did that.
I have a tonneau on mine. Trifold type. It's nothing to do with it, definitely some type of latch/lock/adjustment issue with the tailgate.
My cover has been on since the week after I bought the truck over a year ago. I thought of the cover at first as well and verified it's lined up like its...
Yeah, salesman told me when I looked at the truck I'd have to basically slam the tailgate with my hand in the middle at the top to get it shut and not have the tailgate open light.
Got 26,000 miles now and I think it's getting harder to shut and now this.
Thanks for the replay Dusty.
Well at least I'm not alone. I didn't remember hearing of this before. Video of it happening and they won't fix, sounds about right.
Mine just started it in Feb, and has happened several times.
Anyone had an issue with the tailgate not opening.
I'm having an intermittent issue where the tailgate wont' open unless I press in the middle over the handle , nearly enough pressure to rock the truck forward.
When it does this neither the remote release or the local release work, can hear the...
Great. I hadn't even thought about that. Something else to get my OCD aggravated .. LOL
Seriously I've never paid that much attention to the silver parts, but the gold was something that we really liked when we bought the truck. Mine is a '19.
I'm like you I wouldn't think it saved much...
Wish you luck, I'm in the same boat. Mine has been to the shop a grand total of 6 times for these brakes and they still sound horrible. The last two trips they say "We couldn't reproduce it".
I think there are three TSB about these brakes, mine has had the first two completed and did...
Noticed the movement more than I ever had a few mornings ago, pretty heavy fog and when I was turning into the parking lot at work you could see the light move in the fog LOL if that makes any sense.
I steered left and right a few times just because that was the most I'd noticed it, never had...
Love how they have to use these third party glass companies. I just had the headliner replaced and they used the third party bunch to pull the windshield. The glass shop destroyed my windshield tint.
Dealer and Ram customer service both say it's not their responsibility, the glass company did...
I ended up in a RAM for the same reason as iamtheav8r, the F-150 body style is very stale, Three of my last trucks looked way too similar and I really liked the look of the new RAM. But I'm considering going the way of Ramzy, pretty much sick of leaks, vibrations, and just overall very poor...
Sounds like you should go ahead and start looking for a new dealer service provider, my OP dealer didn't want to cover anything under warranty pretty much as soon as I drove it off the lot.
Dealer I'm working with now, looked at my leak issue and the tech immediately said "You need a new...
I'm in SE MO, just got my truck back from dealer Friday (New headliner and third brake light), Waiting on parts for back glass replacement.
Have had mine a year this month, 20,000 miles and it had just started leaking around the brake light, or at least to the point I could tell it. Tech didn't...
Does anyone know for sure if the headliner can be replaced going in/out of the back glass area instead of removing the windshield?
Mine goes in Thursday for headliner replacement because of water stains. Dealer says it's the brake light leaking and it probably is but I also have the cracks in...
Agreed. Window control is very picky, I've found myself on several occasions trying to decide if something was wrong with it or not. I think I've just got used to it now.
Just heard from my RAM case specialist. My trucks had the first two TSBs concerning the rear brake moan done, still has the noise, dealer and case specialist say "The tech will have to reproduce the sound to determine if this TSB applies to your truck". The first two were done because of the...
