I wish Borla made their tailpipes adjustable like the mopar system and the stock system. That is a major design flaw in my opinion and the reason I returned mine. No matter what kind of adjustments I made, the passenger tip would not center or come down from touching the bumper.
AWE 0Fg will get you a good throaty sound, however you will have cab noise. It's not excessive, but you can definitely tell you have an exhaust, especially when you floor it.
My 2020 has the front resonator. The Borla Touring was still pretty loud, even in the cabin. I now have the AWE and it's much better in the cabin. Still can hear it, but the volume is definitely lower. It now sounds like most of the exhaust sound is coming from the rear of the truck, where...
Mine seems to have a slight whistle noise that changes with speed. I think it really only does it when the AC is on. I'm guessing they have to tear the dash apart to replace the damper actuator?
You can get the stock exhaust out without cutting if you have ramps to back up on. It also makes it easier by taking the spare tire off and the heatshield around the spare. You can then snake it out by slowly moving the muffler and tailpipe towards the front of the truck. That's how I got mine...
I recently returned my touring due to fitment issues, particularly the passenger side. Went with AWE which has more adjustability and sound pretty good too.
Every now and then I see people on here looking for the stock exhaust to put back on their truck. I'm personally holding on to my stock exhaust just in case I decide to get rid of the truck earlier than planned. I will then put the stock back on and sell my AWE since aftermarket exhaust will...
You will probably wake the neighbors with the Borla Touring or the AWE, so it depends on how much you like your neighbors. I personally have a loud rude neighbor, so I don't mind starting it up early lol. My wife can hear it start in our bedroom which is on the other side of the house from...
I've only had it on the truck for about 2 weeks and haven't driven it much since I work from home. Having had the Borla Touring and the AWE, I can say the fit and finish of the AWE is better than the Borla. I think the tips on the AWE are much nicer too. Also much more adjustability and the...
I think you can really crank them down, and then the clamp conforms better around the one squared type nut which I think was causing the rattle. Now I'm gonna have to go out there and start my truck to see if mine is still doing it haha.
MIne had a slight tick/rattle when i first installed. Seemed like it was coming from the Y pipe clamps. So I torqued them down close to 70ft/lb and I think that did the trick or at least I hope it did. Haven't really noticed the sound now. The instructions say to torque to at least 60. I'll...
So far I'm liking the AWE as well. Definitely better fitment and adjustability than the borla. Surprisingly quieter in the cab than the Borla Touring I had. I think I might like the sound of the borla touring slightly better, but the AWE sounds great as well. Louder than the touring on the...
