So are you saying you plug the UPS into the 110 (allowing it to maintain a charge) then plug the device needing the 400w draw into the UPS thus letting the UPS take on the initial surge?

Even more disappointing is you can’t adjust the shade to block the heat of the sun when vented. In my other vehicles, you can open the roof to vent and close the shade so that it is open only a couple inches. This allows the car to vent some heat while reducing the sun’s radiant heat while parked.

That’s some good mileage...I’m at 22.7 +/- with the V8 E torque and 10,500 miles. But that’s based on around 70% highway.

Try to set the pano to tilt. Then close the shade so that it is only open 2 or 3 inches. As soon as you adjust the shade, the pano closes.

Yep. That’s what I dislike. Defeats the reason for tilt IMO. Tilt to vent but more heat comes in since the shade can‘t be opened only a couple inches.

I’m actually wanting to open the shade 2-3 inches with the pano tilted open. Particularly when parked. That way heat can vent without direct sunlight continuing to add more heat than if the shade were closed. Something I’ve done for 30+ years in every other vehicle I’ve owned. I’ve also found...

I’m considering tinting the pano so I can tilt-open the roof to vent heat as the brain trust at Ram force the shade to fully open when set to tilt. Every other vehicle I’ve owned that had a sun roof allowed the shade to be adjusted when panel set to tilt open.

I use the the carplay2air dongle with great success. However, I do wish it wouldn‘t switch from the previous music (HD radio or XM) to CarPlay music player each time you restart. There may be a setting, but I haven’t bothered to look into it...

I was hearing that “thump” too. But one time I had the window down, folded the mirror, and heard the same noise.

Mine frequently does that on the pandora stations through XM. And that’s if the station even loads. 7 out of 10 times I get messages like ’weak signal’ And the station doesn’t even play. Even on clear sunny days.

Would you happen to know if it is plug and play in order to get image to show on screen? Or do you need to program it in?

I used an independent appraiser for an Infinity. It was about 10 years old but had so few miles and was in such good condition, insurance paid the diminished value claim. Something around $1,200.
