Technically speaking. You should not use 85.
As Ram Patriot mentioned above. Older cars, yes and at high alt.
Now in real world, is it going to damage your truck? 99% in my view, no.
If you have 85 and you happen to travel to lower alt., then possible. Again, in my view no. Truck is designed...
@Mountain Whiskey Technically speaking.
Octane is fuel stability. Higher number helps with detonation/knock.
Now a days all new engines will 'knock' for one or two cycles, until computer adjusts. Ford for example tells you this in their manual.
As well as few others. It is normal process...
You are dead wrong....
These trucks are tuned for 87... Go ask Ram. Or better yet bring it Dyno Shop with a tuner...
Tune the Truck for higher Octane, you will really notice a difference....
The reason the manual says 87 is ok, cause it's tuned for it. it says 'recommended' on purpose. It's...
It could be that you need update.
I know my 2021 Rebel with SXM with windows up, 15 it is loud.
On another forum, people were complaining HK system with SXM was very low, then update come out and fixed it.
Possible you need it.
He was likely the person who made him the connector :)
I'm going to guess based on information from Uconnect and Ram, the screen needs to be upgraded.
Resolution was increased. I'm guessing that old 'tablets' can't display new resolution, or needs to configured to do it.
I have 2021 Rebel.
No 360 camera, no blind spot, nothing but back up camera. I have every other option(no rambox).
Ford is building trucks and parking them, adding chips as they get them.
Ram is building trucks but removing options.
I seen news thing other day, it said GM is removing options for...
As far I know, what he said is correct. 5th gen has cabling but 1500 doesn't actually have cargo camera, only HD's
No clue about 4th Gen, but Jimmy or one of the other people might be able to answer that. As they added 360 to their 4th gens with 5gen parts.
Do you have parts list you used?
I'm off-roading with my truck often, wanted front camera only. But was going put 360. Now I'm thinking maybe cargo camera way is better option.
When I priced out changes I would need to go to 360, it was around $1500-$2000 but I'm in Canada.
Different experience.
If it's actually worth the high cost... You would have judge for yourself.
I think, if you purchase it directly from them. You can it for 30 days and return if you don't like it.
It is mostly a toy thought in my view.
I did notice with mine. The back speakers do not like when I turn up volume too much. Haven't had time to bring it to dealer. They will likely tell me not turn it up so much.
What happens if you go to settings and move it back and/or back/left or back/right?
I have mine towards back a bit. As...
@Mister 4x4
Sorry the Texan thing was just humour.
I actually do agree with somethings you mentioned or at least what I think you are trying to say.
While some members might be able to rig up new hardware. Most people not going be able too.
Ram doesn't make these parts, some one else does for...

I say it's a Hard No. Ram's business model won't make it feasible to be backward compatible with older vehicles because that would hurt sales of new vehicles, so they'll just make it work with new vehicles exclusively by making even just simple redesigns and reconfigurations...
Software wise, I don't see any reason for it not be compatible. The OS is android and so is the application.
@Mister 4x4 I did read some of what you wrote, but most of it gave me a headache.
Not really sure what your crying about.
As what I read, newer trucks with UC5 is more than just...
Ha. Guess I'm old :)
Actually I was referring to aerodynamics. as you get higher, you lose traction and handling.
I have factory air on my rebel. It is bouncy even putting on aero mode. Been thinking about adding more lift.
Not as high you have, but 2-4inch with air. that was purpose of my...
