Appreciate the feedback. Spending another $400 for the silver rails to work with other covers bumps up the overall price by about 40% just to put a cover on, so about $1,400 for a variety of covers. Then, there is the potential weather striping issue. Unless another option becomes available...

Post #808 mentions it. However, seems like brackets are needed. I am also looking into the X4S cover. BakFlip said it won't fit trucks with the black rails, only the silver ones. I was just about did on getting that cover too. Don't want to spend more $ on other rails or adapters...
Maxx102,
Appreciate the feedback. As for the MFT, I honestly barely ever open the tailgate the traditional way. It's been quite handy and convenient for me, but this is my 1st truck as well. If I had trucks for some time, I'm sure my muscle memory would lead me to opening the tailgate in the...
Maxx102,
Just curious, did you tell Putco you had the multi-function tailgate? When I called them a couple weeks ago and told them the truck/tailgate I had, they said they have different spacers/brackets for their light to make it clear those raised areas. No drilling required.
Also, any key...
Recently decided and put on the Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S. Will post some before/after pics. I kept going back and forth and back and forth between options.
Johnnyd75, what are your 1st impressions of these tires (feel, road noise, etc.)? Truck looks great. Thinking about adding the WT bug/stone deflector as well.
Awesome, thanks for the info. I'm sure these devices don't draw too much power to impact the battery, but just didn't want them powered on for a long time when not in use. Didn't realize there was a setting for accessory delay.
Thanks again!
Any idea if these USB ports continue to draw power when the truck is shut off? One of my USBs lights up when it has power, which stayed on after I turned the truck off, but I didn't wait around long enough to see if/when it would turn off. I unplugged it because I didn't want to stay on.
tdager,
Just curious, which tires are you considering? I keep going in circles b/w Toyo, Conti, Cooper, Falken, etc. Once I think I made up my mind, I read some review / test results and change me mind. Also looking to keep the OEM size.
I installed one (OEM-Mopar) about a week ago and agree, there is a little gap from the step to the bumper, but just enough to get your foot in there to deploy the step. Of note though, mine came with 3 bolts, which requires drilling 1 hole to the frame it mounts on to. After reviewing threads...
A whole CF hood is about $1,700 online. Not sure if that includes the inserts and also can't comment on the quality of it. That's a bit of $. Love the idea of getting inserts and I think the ones in this post turned out awesome. I second the comments in this thread and others about this...
Agree'd! Lots of options, tests/results, etc. I keep thinking of one tire and think I made a decision, then look at tire rack...change my mind...repeat again, and again.
Keep looking at....and changing my mind about....the Toyo Open Country A/T III, Continental Terraincontact A/T, Firestone...
