Anyone have their windshield replaced yet? Decision!

I see that Gorilla Glass is starting to be offered as an option...wonder if it'll ever make it in to the secondary market. That would be an option worth considering (depending upon cost to the consumer).

Just got back from dealer for first oil change and alignment check. Opinions?

Are you spying on me? That's exactly how it happens with oil changes on my other vehicles. "Crap. Where did I put the socket set? Oh, chips! Wait. What was I doing again?"

Just got back from dealer for first oil change and alignment check. Opinions?

I have the OEM tires, no lane sense, and I can literally take both hands off the wheel for about 10-15 seconds on the highway and it will track straight. My dealership gave me an oil change for free when I bought the truck. I will take advantage of that next week, but plan on doing my own oil...

    Oil Temp while Towing

Will do; I'm not planning on changing my oil until after the trip (oil life meter says 27%).

    Gas Cap

Thanks for the fit test--I'll order mine today!

    Oil Temp while Towing

I'm doing the same trip again this coming weekend; highs in the Palouse will be around 100*, so I'll make sure to check the temps and post the results here.

    Oil Temp while Towing

FWIW, I towed our 5000 pound GVW travel trailer north out of Lewiston, Idaho (5 miles long, 7% grade; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lewiston_Hill) a few months ago. My oil temperature never got higher than 230. I had Tow/Haul Mode and cruise control both engaged; 4500 rpm on the tach and 65 mph...

PPF horror story - don't be like me

Even so, using the money for the repair would give him peace of mind.

    Gas Cap

No worries, no offense taken. I'll definitely be awaiting your fit check test.

    Gas Cap

Well, I was 100% sure until this morning. Now? I think I saw the $40 price (I'm not blind, and I'm not an idiot), but I'm not sure. Ultimately, it doesn't matter; neither of us got it for that price.

PPF horror story - don't be like me

I would have it repaired. The idea of a "free" $3000 in my pocket is enticing for sure, but if I was in your position I would see the cuts and peeling every time I got in the truck and it would drive me insane. When you go to the paint shop I would specify you're going to put PPF on top of the...

    Gas Cap

That's what the price was on the website yesterday. Today it's $60. Wonder if someone updated the wrong price yesterday or something...

    Gas Cap

Surprised me, too--but it specifically calls out the '21. But as I mentioned above, I'll take the $40 gamble and hope their return policy is good if it doesn't fit.

    Gas Cap

Thanks for the input! Maybe I'll take a chance on it and hope for a good return policy if it doesn't fit.

    Gas Cap

I love that cap...but it specifically says it won't work on my Ram. :(

Auto climate control: does your fan speed always run high?

For what it's worth, I'll add my experience here. Returned from a weekend camping trip yesterday; 4.5 hours towing our camper trailer. Temperatures were in the low 90s to upper 80s for the whole trip. The passenger side temperature was set at 66, driver side was set at 68. Blower was blowing...

Official thread for pictures of Ram towing campers

Slightly OT, but that's the exact Ram that I wanted before I got mine. That's the best color of the BTS versions, if you ask me. Now, back to your regularly scheduled thread...

    How to properly wash truck

Light cleaning in between washes, I'm a fan of Griot's Garage SpeedShine. It's great for use on light dirt.

    Retractable tonneau or canopy?

This is the very debate I'm having. I'm leaning toward the canopy option, but I'm not a fan of the bigger price point.

Bed Utility Group Rails and Tonneaus

Yep, I figured that out yesterday. I don’t have the Ram Boxes, so no divider for me. Still want them, though.
