There's a hum (fan noise) when I start the truck once the A/C starts going. I've not investigated it, but I'm pretty sure it's a fan to help with the A/C system.
I've got a vizsla (she's 6) and a golden retriever (he's puppy). The vizsla likes to look out the windows--she likes to sniff the smells even more, but the retriever couldn't care less about looking out the window. Different dogs, markedly different personalities.
It's possible my setup is off, so I'll re-check it. My set up is level to my eye, so I don't think it's off by much; the trunnion bar is only 1/4 an inch below the bracket, but it's too heavy to lift without the tool I lost.
Here's a pretty recent picture of the set up (before I lost the tool).
No, it wasn't, but I did try to raise the jack after the trailer was connected to the truck, and I tried to lower it. Neither worked at the time.
I was in a rush, so I opted to lower the L-brackets.
Short answer: with the L-brackets one notch lower on both sides than usual, the effect of the WDH was barely better than not using the WDH at all.
Long answer: I had to lower my L-brackets because I lost the bar used to snap the trunnion bars onto the L-brackets. I could get the driver side...
I have the FastWay e2 (1200-pound hitch with 600-pound bars). It's remarkable how much different the ride feels from one L-bracket position to the next one up/down; initial set-up is critical.
The AVS decal appears to be very similar to the WeatherTech one; I just used a bit of heat (hair dryer), peeled it up with my fingernail, then removed the residue with Goo-Gone (thought briefly about acetone, but didn't want to ruin the deflector).
Should be pretty easy.
The manual for my '21 says to use and API-certified 5W-20, but leaves the rest up to the owner:
Synthetic Engine Oils
You may use synthetic engine oils provided the recommended oil quality requirements are met, and the recommended maintenance intervals for oil and filter changes are followed...
I can personally second this experience. I bought my Ram in March 2021 and received a bottle of touch-up paint in the mail today. 3 months later seems a bit odd, but it is what it is.
Those are good questions. From my perspective in the cab there were zero issues from the truck. No warning lights, no chimes, no loss of power. It was actually pretty impressive to me (this Ram is my first full-size truck; previous towing rig was a Honda Ridgeline).
We did have the air...
Neither the tire rotation page nor the TPMS page in the Owner's Manual mention reprogramming/recalibrating the sensors after rotation. Maybe the service manual does?
I understand...but it's still hot. I know there's some evaporation going on, but don't know how much. Depends upon how much was left after siphoning, and how much gasoline evaporates in 5 days at the temperatures in Dallas.
Occam's Razor applies.
As to the lack of residual fuel, I imagine it was pretty warm in the garage. Could the residual fuel (the thieves couldn't reach/didn't get) evaporate and vent? Especially if the trip was several days?
Trip done. Temperatures yesterday afternoon in the valley were 110* or more, temperature at the top of the climb was 107*
Though I cropped it out, the cruise was on 65 MPH the whole drive up the hill, 4500 rpm on the tach until it started leveling out at the top. Once at the top, the hills of...
