    Hints When Nearing Warranty Expiration

I'm about 4 months and 10K miles from the OEM warranty expiring. I'm seriously considering taking the truck in, complaining about a sound from the exhaust manifold to force the dealership to inspect the bolts before the warranty expires. Any other areas I should have them look at before the...

The cut out (presumably so she can jump up to the cab floor then up to the platform) is a brilliant idea.

Dealer did 119 in my truck?

And why didn't the salesperson say "that's how they test the instrument cluster at the factory, and here's documentation"?

Below Invoice Pricing around the PNW

I didn't order my rig, but my local dealer (N Idaho) was really easy to work with through the whole process. PM me if you want the dealer's info.

    Where to put the dog…..

When my dogs are in the bed, we open the cab rear window, the "front" window of the canopy and the side windows of the canopy. Adds quite a bit of road noise into the cab, but the airflow through the bed is more than adequate.

    Where to put the dog…..

We have a 7-year old Vizsla and an 18-month old golden retriever--so I feel your pain. When we knew we needed the rear seating, we did was put a blanket down and she sat (as best we could manage, anyway) on the back seat. Once our kids got cars of their own and didn't join my wife and I on so...

First towing impression, small utility trailer

One of the most difficult things I had to do when I was in the Air Force was learn to back a water buffalo trailer with a 2 1/2 ton truck (Deuce and a Half). No power steering, manual transmission, no backing assist, and with the length of the truck combined with the short trailer, it would...

How do you update the GPS maps?

I know it's not exactly on-topic, but there are some areas of the west that still are cell reception deserts. In those areas the factory nav is useful. I get why the OP wants to update his maps; I want to as well.

He Got Me. (Horn Blast with Brake Pedal Press)

While at work yesterday, word came down we had to move our vehicles so the parking lot could have some dust abatement done. Put my hand on the handle and a horn honked twice (must have been the Tundra parked next to me). Get in, step on the brake to start the truck and the honk is longer. "Sucks...

Reading the owners manual, it says 89 gasoline is recommended as it using Top Tier gasoline. The only Top Tier gasoline available locally does not hav

I got my 87 from reputable stations (Conoco, Chevron); not sure if they were "Top Tier" or not.

Reading the owners manual, it says 89 gasoline is recommended as it using Top Tier gasoline. The only Top Tier gasoline available locally does not hav

Just got done with a personal test of 87 vs. 89. After running several tanks of 89 (during travel baseball season where we tow our travel trailer), I ran two tanks of 87. About halfway through the first tank of 87, I started noticing the engine would have a significant delay when moving after a...

    Long Road Trip Report

My truck is 4WD, but I leave it in 2WD until I need 4WD (in the winter it's mostly 4WD Auto).
