My '21 has two circular neon-green stickers that overlap (see photo). I'd like to remove these, but am unsure if they serve a purpose. Has anyone removed them? Has anyone kept them?
And yes, I realize I sound like a child with this question, but I love my Ram and don't want to screw anything up. 🧐
We've had temps during the afternoon in the upper 80s/low 90s, and I have no complaints about the a/c performance. I have the cabin temp set at 68 and it's comfortable--especially when I turn on the vented seats.😉
A work around for you (if you have Spotify Premium or Family) could be to download the music you want to listen to your device when you're home on your wifi, then play it in offline mode.
Now I'm confused. Mine has a 12/2020 build date, and I am convinced I've never seen the warning. I'll have to check tonight just to make sure I'm not being brain-dead.
I've driven with the tailgate down multiple times, and have literally never seen that warning. In my experience, the rear ParkSense needs to be turned off if you're backing up.
This is where I'm at, too. I don't have the wireless charging in my truck, so plugging my phone in has the added advantage of keeping my phone's battery topped off.
For me, I use other (free) apps for my sports teams; some are on iHeartRadio, others are on TuneIn.
As to my experience with Spotify over SXM, I prefer Spotify via CarPlay. The only advantage SXM has over Spotify is music in areas that don't have a reliable (or any) cellular coverage. That's...
I'm a new-ish Ram owner (March '21 buy date) and have heard lots of discussion about AlphaOBD. Finally digging into it, and now I'm sad.
I'm an iPhone user, and there's no iPhone app. I may have to buy a cheap Android device just for AlphaOBD.
I guess that's where I'm at, too. I'll hand calculate the next tank, but as you said I was fully aware of the factors involved with going from a 1/4-ton to a 1/2-ton, and really enjoy the better capability the Ram brings.
That MPG matches my experience; when I was on roads with 55-65 speed limits my MPG was about 3-4 gallons/mile better than at 80. I guess part of my happiness is getting good mileage at anything about 70; in my Ridgeline, if I tried anything above 70, my mileage dropped to about 15 mpg--or worse...
When I got my truck, the dealer (finance guy as he was trying to sell me the extended warranty) actually recommended non-OEM windshield to me--and I have a lot of the electronic add-ons to the windshield.
#YMMV
TLDR: I'm extremely happy with the truck's performance, mileage (especially with a 3.92 ratio) and comfort during the trip.
Just returned from a week-long trip to see family (college graduation) and we took my truck. More than doubled the mileage on the truck, but the end result was a very...
I've read (skimmed) through the owner's manual a time or two, and missed this completely; appreciate you pointing it out.
I have driven with the door open, but I must've had my foot on the brake pedal.
I don't mind this safety feature, frankly; I know others' mileage varies.
Last night I was getting my travel trailer from the storage lot and, as is so typical of me, I got in a rush. I backed to within 6 feet of the trailer and stopped to install my hitch (Class IV). Opened the door, hopped out, and only then realized I hadn't put it in park. 😧
Truck rolled back...
TBH, the current seller's conditions in the used market is what drove me to purchase new. Why would I spend $50K+ on a two- or three-year old truck when I can get better financing and a better vehicle by getting new?
Of course, that was my mindset and way of thinking; your mileage may vary.
