Well my brake light is not the issue I replaced it with the new brake light this week. Had moisture from being cold out not even a rain and when I got to where I was going water had leaked through in the same exact spot. I spoke to FCA and my case manager as well as the service department...
Glad it worked out for you.
As far as I can tell I have no cracks anywhere...
However, I have a corner leak as shown in my photo. I just received the third brake light this week with the newest part number FCA made.
I’m curious, the leak you had which resulted from a faulty brake light look...
Did they use the updated third brake light? Part number ending in AG. It Has a secondary seal running around just the top to about midway down the bevel on each side. And what appears to be a much thicker main seal. Just got mine in the mail.
I will also say again this is the part number ending in AG. The main seal is much thicker than what my original is. Seems to be made of the same foam like material. But I can definitely tell a big difference between new and used. My used one looks wasted now that I can compare with my eyes up...
I just received my new third brake light in the mail. It indeed has a different seal than my original there is an additional seal above the main seal. I have posted new (left) and old (right) third brake lights below.
