2019 Laramie with rebel wheels and blacked out badges

Nicely done. Understated attention to detail always catches my eye.

    Swapped out exterior cab lights

Now have to convince the wife farkling up my truck is generally a good thing. Farkle: The word is generally accepted to mean a combination of "function" and "sparkle", hence, farkle. Motorcycle enthusiasts may install accessories, called farkles (also spelled farkel), to customize their machine.

    What fuel for 5.7

Going back to the manufacturer, the 2019 RAM Owner’s Manual recommends “...to provide satisfactory fuel economy and performance...gasoline having an octane range of 87 to 89...“ The use of 89 octane “Plus” gasoline is recommended for optimum performance and fuel economy.” Note the two levels...

    Swapped out exterior cab lights

I was motivated and so took only five minutes/half a beer. And wow, much better lighting in the bed. Quite an improvement over the OEMs.

    What fuel for 5.7

Octane rating (the number) represents a standard measure of gasoline’s resistance to detonation. This is an objective result of specific laboratory testing and does not change. There are several recognized standards methods used throughout the world. In the US, gasoline octanes are expressed as...

    What fuel for 5.7

Octane seems an emotional and subjective topic. Here’s an informative technical article on gasoline and octane: https://www.cycleworld.com/what-gasoline-is-and-isnt-and-why-motorcyclists-should-care And another forum thread to check...

*UPDATE* $250 Rebate on ALL New Rams

Can’t kick over $250, but they are really dragging this process out. After applying I received a Mar 9 acknowledgement that advised 8-10 weeks to receive the check. Just received an update that the “check is in process and will be sent to you very soon!” Still wonder what about the process...

    Remove dealer sticker

I had a similar dealer vinyl decal on my Laramie. I parked it in the sun for a bit, picked the pieces off easily with my thumb nail, a little wax and it was done. Took about 5 minutes

I went the tape and Plasti spray route: $6.00 total cost. If it holds up great, if not I’ll install the black letters.

Anyone adding any graphics to the side or hood of their Rebel?

Here’s the extent of additional graphics for my Laramie Sport Pgk (Same hood I believe). Like to keep it minimal, so Plasti Sprayed hood badging, tail and grill RAM.

    Swapped out exterior cab lights

I installed headlight LEDs in a previously owned 2006 Tundra. The left headlight would dimly flicker continuously with everything off. Swapped back the OEM element and no flicker. I figured there was a small current on that headlight circuit that wasn’t enough to fire off the halogens, but did...

    Sport Appearance without Sport hood?

When I was shopping for my “perfect” Laramie, my dealer scoured in-state inventory and offered to swap out a sport hood for regular if I wanted. At first I didn’t want the sport hood, but my wife liked the look...so my new Laramie Sport sports the sport hood... Don’s Auto Clinic in Cadillac...

    Adding Factory brake controller?

Just checked my dealer and was told same thing: BO to June (note kit in development). I would have expected the development to have been completed and kit ready upon Gen 5 arrival in dealerships.

Steering no return to center (left turns)

That seems to makes sense except it doesn’t jive with the label’s 1-19 build date...a 10-day difference.
