Just to give an update: I ended up putting Firestone Destination le2's back on it. Firestone did the right thing and covered the tires at 50% off and did not charge mounting, balancing, disposal, etc because they failed with only 34k miles on them and only being a year and a half old.
So, for...
The 3.92 will have more wear and tear, worse gas mileage, and more noise and vibration in the cab at highway speeds.
Oliver392 hit the nail on the head. My buddy has the same truck with 3.92, I have 3.21. off the line there is barely a difference. The 8sp trans makes the gear ratio much less...
They ordered the parts to do TSB 1 and 2. The brackets for TSB 3 aren't available until January they said. They are doing what they can for now. Seems silly to me to do unnecessary fixes while waiting for the fix that actually works, but not my dime and i have a loaner so I'll play along...
Has...
I just dropped mine off at the dealership this morning to have the brakes and a radio issue addressed. I gave him the newest tsb last week when making the appointment so hopefully it gets fixed. I'll give an update when I pick it up.
Update: My truck is now in the shop, I told them I want the radio replaced. We will see what happens I guess. In the mean time, they gave me a new wrangler 4 door that I will be giving to my wife to drive and she does about 500 miles a week so that is some incentive to get my radio fixed asap...
The 8.4 is not bulletproof, ask me how I know, lol.
Lots of little issues with mine. Presets always resetting themselves to factory, icons disappearing for no reason. My bluetooth does not work at all basically with no fix available. Android auto works sometimes, but most of the time does not...
Better for you to drive it and risk a rock chip than have some random trucker loading and unloading your brand new truck onto his trailer and driving it that way. Plus, you are asking for trouble if you don't pick it up in person. You NEED to inspect it before taking delivery or driving it off...
If you want it to look like a Rebel then get a Rebel 12 with every option and you would be close to a limited. You can switch out the red trim pieces on the interior if you prefer that. Seems much easier than trying to convert a limited to a Rebel.
Tried that, also tried multiple streaming services and even just songs on my memory card in the phone. It's something with the truck, not my phone. Happens with other phones as well. I talked to my service manager, he is making me an appointment to look at it again, a month after they looked at...
My Nav 8.4 system has been updating constantly the past 10days or so, multiple times a day. I keep resetting my presents and home screen set up, but next time I drive its back to factory. Now my android auto doesn't work anymore either. Says "device not recognized". It did this a few months ago...
Yeah, if the module isn't there then I'm not bothering with it. I bought an 07 F150 brand new (stripped work truck) and was told cruise control was expensive to install by the dealer and that it required many extra parts. After researching on a forum, I ordered the switch on ebay for $79, popped...
I have a laramie without the remote release. I would assume it could be as simple as getting the correct fob, and then having the dealer program it in since mine has the electronic release and dampener already in place, just not the remote function. I'll ask my guy at ram service and see what he...
Like the others have said. Lemon Law that thing. You can always get another one. I used lemon law on a subaru i bought for my wife 2 years ago, got back every penny i put into it including my monthly payments. It was like getting it for free for 4 months, minus all the hassel that dealer put me...
Just this morning a guy with a shiny new ecoboost pulled up next to me on the highway and punched it. I did not engage, I'm not 18yrs old and plus I had my 2yr old in the back. Never the less, he slowed down and gave me the "I beat you" look. We both had our windows down so I shouted "Sounds...
Thanks for the input guys. Probably leaning towards the defenders based on price and availability. Still a few weeks away from pulling the trigger. I'll post when I get them installed.
I plan on using 1 set of all seasons year round. She is a teacher so if the snow is really bad she wont have to go in anyway, 90% of the time the car lives on the highway so rain/dry conditions are the majority. I would love to throw something rugged on there, but the decrease in mileage and...
Not a ram, I know, but I need help in making a decision on tires for my wife's Cherokee KL 4x4 and I didn't want to join another forum just for this one answer. ( I already spend enough time on this one and others I'm a part of). It is never taken offroad, she commutes about 40miles each way for...
