I completely agree with you. I’m getting 9.1 MPG on average. I’ve hand calculated it a few times and it’s always about the same.
But I shouldn’t even have to hand calculate it. It shouldn’t be 10 MPG less than advertised.
I’m getting 9.1 MPG with and EMPTY bed.
So what would I get when I tow my...
Thanks for the reply, my truck does have a Drag to it. When I take my foot off the gas it’s like it’s in a lower gear. But I thght one of the the TSBs was intended To address the shifting Intervals.
What upsets me about it is, I actually bought this E Torque because it was supposed to help...
My wife and I have both hand calculated it a few times now and it’s always pretty close. I average
9-12 MPGs. 12 on a good day. I use 89 and I’ve also tried to drive so conservatively that it’s no fun to drive the truck. I’ve tried Not using the E Torque also.
If I sit at idle for more than a...
I’ve had the 3 TSB updates and I’m still getting 10-12 MPGs. I’m so disappointed with my 2019 Rebel... I regret getting the E-Torque. It’s a Crappy System. I see No gas savings.
I actually regret getting the truck.
What’s the point of E Torque? Other than being a pan in the A$$ when I park in...
That’s the plan. Im going to give the TSB updates some time to see if they fix anything. I’m not going to drive it much or haul anything with it for now. If things don’t improve I’ll be trading it in for another truck.
Honestly I think it bothers me more that I have to fill it up so much...
what I find interesting is that it seems to just be a few of us that are getting this bad MPGs. But it’s a new system. Hopefully Ram is working to address all the issues as we speak.
The truck runs good. It has plenty of power. The Start/Stop seems to work ok. I’ve tried driving with it On and Off for a few days. I can say I honestly don’t see much gas savings using the Start Stop
. It does have a drag going down hill that’s more pronounced than our previous Laramie and 2015...
I’ve Got close to 2000 miles on it. Nothing in the bed. Soft Trifold cover in it. Just had the updates done. And had everything checked. Dealer Service said to see if the updates help. But I haven’t noticed much.
I’m in the Cincinnati area. So there’s some Hills and Flats.
I do more city...
It would be cool if Lydia or a Representative answerd some questions for us. I regret buying the 2019 Rebel with E Torque more and more everyday. I wish I would have kept my Laramie I traded in.
I average 9 City 14/15 Highway.
Maybe if the Gas tank was bigger it wouldn’t bother me so much.
But...
76 was an Awesome year! Mine originally was a 1980 with a 301 Turbo So I rebuilt it as a 1979 455 4 speed.
. I put in a Pontiac 400 and it blew up so We went with the 455. It’s a better engine IMO with lots more torque. Not sure what the MPGs are but I know it’s Single Digits lol.
But I don’t...
You should tell them you want a new truck.
I’m on my 4th Ram since 2012 and I’m not happy with mine either. I hate the E Torque Start/Stop and the MPGs are Sh!t...
I’m getting crappy MPGs too. I had the updates done a week ago and haven’t seen much improvement. I was getting 9-12 MPGs now I’m getting up to 14 MPGs. Still not happy with it. Ram should issue free Gas Cards every month to offset the extra cost.
I like the truck but I would have never bought...
I haven’t seen much improvement yet after 4 days since the updates. I’m getting around 14 MPG average between Highway and City combined.
Not sure how long it takes to see results. I’d like to get to at least a 17 MPG Average.
I had the Rambox on my last 2016 Laramie. They were pretty convenient but they looked like they weren’t closed all the way. Dealer said it was a factory flaw with a lot of those and couldn’t be fixed. It bugged me because I had a $60,000 truck and the rambox doors always looked like thee were...
I’ve got a 2019 Rebel E Torque getting 9-12.5 MPGs, I just had the TSB updates 2 days ago. Hoping to get near 17 MPGs now. I’ll update in a few days if I see any improvement.
I hope you’re right. Is this poor gas mileage only affection the E-Torque Rams?
When I took it to the dealer yesterday the Tech asked me what was going on, when I told him how bad the MPGs are he said there was No Way I was getting 9-12 MPG, I waited while he took it for a cruise. When he got...
I just had all the updates yesterday and I’m really hoping mine improves to at least 16-17 MPGs.
I have 2000 miles on it and Currently averaging between 9-12 MPG. If gas MPGs don’t improve across the board for these trucks their should be a buy back. I love the truck but getting 10 MPG less...
