Could be misaligned track for the sunroof that caused it to bend slightly. Sun plus some bump on the highway and here you are.
I hope it will be replaced under the warranty. But it will be hard to prove that it wasn't just a rock falling on it...
Oil change in Pentastar is so much easier... No mess at all. Definitely a modern design, optimizing oil change efforts.
When I did an oil change at the dealer (once), they've returned the truck so messy. Then I fell that I'm not doing it bad, and they are professionals :) but I will try a...
Thank you for this info, helped me to understand what is the idea behind long fuel tank skid plate for 33 gallon tank.
I've upgraded from short skid plate to a long one, and I was surprised how front part bends easily. Protects the tank no doubt, but it will bend if you apply truck weigh on it...
Reviving an old thread. Was looking for a solution to enable offroad pages on my 2020 Rebel with 12" screen. As I understand, even 2021 models with offroad pages have nothing in Uconnect - offroad pages are available only in instrument cluster (EVIC).
Played with options in Alfaobd, but it...
After postponing it for months and almost getting stuck choosing a bad path while rock crawling in the woods, decided to put a front facing camera. Works like a charm and looks like stock.

So I finally decided to add front facing camera to my 2020 Rebel. Not for the parking purposes (front park assist helps with that), but for off-roading when I don't have a wingman to navigate me.
I did the same trick on Wrangler and Durango before, and the same upgrade on the Rebel is even...
Slightly off-topic, but I spoke to Uconnect tech support earlier today, and they confirmed that software v39 rollout is happening right now on all stereos. Mine is NFGL, currently on software v34 and it should receive an update soon.
P.S. Actual version of the software (not firmware version for...
I'd say it is very hard to hit those bolts in real life since they are close to wheels, while still possible (but waaaaay less possible then hitting the tranny). I can't imagine how you can tight the bolts from the inside with recessed bolts.
I still don't understand why RAM 1500 doesn't have any engine or transmission protection. Thanny cooling lines look pretty fragile and they are fully exposed.
I've installed Dethloff skid plate right after I've got my truck a year ago.
Took it off to apply some rust protection on the frame, went...
I do not believe that warranty claim can be rejected because of the fuel tank swap. Only Mopar parts are used, and replacement process is 100% aligned with FCA service manuals. There should be a strong justification why it shouldn't be covered by warranty ;)
On a side note, I was experiencing...
Local dealers change oil on 5.7 HEMIs in the dumb way - create mess when remove the filter, clean up the mess with a lot of rags. Oil change service guide for FCA dealers doesn't have any secrets about removing the filter without the mess ;)
I wish someone who works at the dealership to uncover this secret for us ;) I don't see the same think happening in Ford or Toyota world. Dealers don't sell 5% below invoice price usually.
To influence the statistics - I've switched from non-eTorque 5.7L to eTorque 5.7L. No issues with the system what so ever. And you can see this system now in huge number of fleet work trucks travelling in the cities. Also, start/stop on 3.6L eTorque is so much better then on non-3.6L eTorque.
I fully understand that it is not hard to find invoice price of the car these days. With FCA Affiliates, dealer is obligated to show you the invoice with invoice price clearly stated. But from the accounting perspective, invoice price is still invoice price - this is what dealer paid to get the...
What I'm trying to understand is how FCA dealers make money on these sales when they sell the truck 4.5% below invoice? ~$1500 holdback doesn't offset that. No trade, pay cash, no dealer extras, $150 documentary fee (allowed in State of Washington by law) is the only fee in the contract. Where...
I was doing the same on all my FCA vehicles before pandemic. Maybe now the situation is better then it was in 2020. I couldn't get better then 9% discount anywhere in the state (using the logic described in this thread), but discounts for Rebels are usually not as deep as for Big Horns.
Didn't read the whole thread, but I hope you guys know how to get FCA Affiliate pricing (aka PP price, -1% below factory invoice) and skip all the pain of negotiating with a dealer? You just need to find your employer here and then register with the company code here. All FCA dealers in US are...
