I wonder if the problem is with the crappy good year tires. Maybe that's why they don't have a "fix" for it. The fix is have everyone wait until their tires get changed.
I had new tires put on Friday. I have driven a couple hundred miles now with no more grinding. Its weird to expect it and then it doesn't happen. I will see how it goes over the next few thousand miles.
I am having the same tires mounted today. What do you think of yours. I was in the same boat as you. I didn't want to spend the toyo money on tires. I considered the nexen but went with Hankook. The Hankook are much lighter than the Toyo's also.
I don't have any vibration. The only complaints I have with this truck are:
Heater blowing full blast
Grinding of the steering wheel when turning right
Rear passenger sounds weird when closing
Other than those I couldn't be happier with it.
Strange thing for me is last winter mine was fine and didn't do this. Now this winter it is. Something went wrong with the last update? Surprised more people are not having this problem. I am thinking of disconnecting battery and seeing if that resets things.
This is exactly what I am looking to do. Would you consider giving me details on the brackets you made? Also, do the sensor's from the old grille not come out to put into the new one?
I have used this. It works well and keeps you inside the truck. If you are more than 6ft tall you won't be able to spread you legs straight. I slept on an angle and was super comfortable.
