It happens without the brakes applied, and while accelerating when it gets really bad.
Me too I felt it a week ago, just had my rack replaced 2 months ago.
It was smooth for a while though. It's either the racks are trash or the hardware for the rack loosens up. I'll check that when I get a chance.
I'd say if that did work it's probably just a bandaid because it changes the ride it might cover it up until it gets worse. The real issue is in the rack as many people have experienced.
I don't think they can just say "there's no known fix". If they hear/feel the issue. Your warranty is supposed to guarantee they get to the bottom of it. The hard part is usually getting them to admit there's an issue. That took 3 dealers for me.
The TSB was for " less than desired steering wheel response and/or a clunk feeling when turning" Now that I have a new rack the steering response improved tremendously I didn't realize it was an issue since it was like that since I bought it...
I just wanted to update and confirm this was the issue. I no longer have the grinding or slipping feeling when turning.
My build date was 2 or 3 months after the grinding steering TSB range.
I took it in and they couldn't recreate it, so I did the ride along. They ordered a new rack and pinion and a new backup camera which is another issue I couldn't get a different dealer to resolve.
Lithia Ram in Helena MT is awesome.
Thanks a lot for your post!
Has anyone else have this successfully resolved? I'm 2000 miles from home I can't really drop it off anywhere. It has gotten worse since I started my trip it now does it a little on left turns but really bad on right.
I took it to a dealer in Idaho and told them to check it out, they said there...
Came here to post about this issue. I replace my filter with a NAPA gold filter. It didn't fix it, though the old one was disgusting.
I shoved about a foot of drip hose down my condenser drain, No luck.
It's the small hose poking out on your firewall on the passenger side. fairly close to the...
Just 2 issues with the FM solution.
1. Sirius still has ads on something I Own.
2. I'm traveling the country and get blasted with static instead.
It would be nice if it didn't auto switch to anything.
Did you see this post? He went from the same WDH to the equalizer. Looks like it was a major improvement.

x3 Tekonsha P3, had one in my F250.
I've got to say though for the extra buck the Mopar one looks clean, it's not a hard install and it wont bump your knees.
My dad has a after market in his 17 Ram and it's bloody annoying. They have to be as flat as possible to measure momentum so there...
If you want to go the DIY route it's cheap.

Does everyone's say if their trailer is disconnected? mine doesn't say that but I have all of the settings enabled.
