Was the oil level adequate? What mileage? You should also get a loaner that is unacceptable. Sorry to hear this. These are tried and true engines of an older design - failures should be rare.

Mine has it too since new. This is my first Hemi. Pretty sure this is standard due to the cast iron block. There is going to be surface rust. It is alarming to see though if you've come from aluminum block engines like many of us have.

The recall applies to all trucks with adjustable pedals. not just Rebels. Are you saying Rebels pedal assemblies are different than other trucks?

Nope - I bet you that is the actual payload. My truck if heavier with a crew cab and 4x4 and I have 1726. Big Horn/Tradesmens have good payload.
